exactly, that's why the key holder has to unlock the wearer as soon as there are psychic emergencies, afterwards we talk about it and decide if the belt will be put on again and if it's acceptable to use a cb at all.

if it's just a conversation, it's not necessary that's true, but if the girl has a mental breakdown, the keyholder should also be so responsible and unlock the girl.

it doesn't make a big difference as long as the key holder monitors the wearer, the girl can calm down emotionally and have a factual conversation 😉

Not right.It is not the wearer who have the power(she still hasn't the keys),but the keyholder understanding she can't handle it right now,and should solve it,while letting the wearer calm down and express her well enough.Which won't be possible if she has to keep the belt on during the talk,in such situation.

a safeword can work if the belt is worn as a game, but not if you wear it permanently

Hey, I'm writing here again because I think I may be able to resolve this issue. In the circumstances in which a belt is usualy worn, a safeword is very common. In the scene every action should happen out of love. That's why, if the safeword is used, the wearer MUST be immeadiatly released. The wearer does not have to give any explanation as to why he/she wanted to be released aswell. If the keyholder want's an explanation first, that's very iresponsible behaviour, because for the bottom deep psychological dammage can arise such as relived traumata, Panic attacks or simply deeply broken trust from not being released. Of course the wearer also has a responsibility: To not use the safeword simply to be let out, but only in a Situation of actual danger. Otherwise the trust is also broken because the keyholder can't differentiate anymore between mood or actual danger. Therefore @Ines you don't have to worry, your feeling of being protected doesn't have to go away as you know you won't be released because you just feel like it, but only if there is a risk of you getting actual damage.

The ask for a immediate release for a short petition? No, it is not an emergency.
If a keyholder do not open the belt in a emergency is a reason for the girl to say "give the keys right now, because you touched them for last time".
I think I have a lot of luck with my keyholders, maybe because she has the same experience than us, and she built the " politic" about the belt in in my home, and sometimes, she did not release me when I asked.
And it is normal. In one of my very first post here, I wrote that mood is not a reason to be released. And there are a lot of reasons to be released, but not mood.
I can be happy, or sad, and maybe I can need my parents, my sisters, my brother or my friends, but give the girl the power of be released just in order a petition, is the same that give us the key.
And remember my filosophie about the belt, I have the padlocks, not the keys 😉

i agree with both of you. i am of the opinion that a good key holder recognizes emergencies immediately and can differentiate when a release is necessary . a safeword only makes sense when worn absolutely voluntarily. i would never make anyone a key holder who does not recognize emergencies
