Girls love to copy their mothers or older sisters. We are brought up to be feminine, pretty, etc so yes, girls of 12 will try makeup. How do you think we get to late teens with immaculate makeup if we don’t practice from a younger age?
If a girl of 12 is wearing full makeup daily then I’d say that was unusual.

What I habe noticed so gar is that when men are cadged for some time they get more attending to their partners and show more affection that is not based on erotic or sex.

I mean the father is the head of the family. But when a daughter has a boyfriend her father might loose his status concerning his daughter. Because she is now a couple with a boy. So if the boy was cadged by her father he would still remain head of the whole family, including the daughter

Edit: because when you're in a relationship with someone you might forget a bit about your role as being a good daughter. And be a bit ... let's say obident ... to her boyfriend. This reduces the .... "obidence" ... to her father.
