Mine is a waist style. But some girls wear a hips style. It seems better to hide, but my parents against it, because they think it could be slid down. What do you, girls, wear?

Waist style too.
I think too a hip style one could allow more choice of clothes;with the right choice of clothes, more sexy top, like tight ones or one showing the belly may be worn.
I think it was made to make it as secure as the waist ones, not possible to slid down, even if the wearer tries it.
mine is also waist style .
thanks to you I know now also the difference
but I have never seen hips style, but I think it would be quite uncertain
Angelina but I have never seen hips style, but I think it would be quite uncertain
@catherine98 worn one, but then has changed to the waist style. Let me find her posts at misterpoll.
I'm trying to convince my parents to replace mine by a hips styles, but no luck yet.
From misterpoll
@catherine98 As described before, it is an my-steel ergonomic waist style with wire rear and non-adjustable crotch shield (so only one lock!). On first day, we spent the entire evening with bending and fitting (well, my parents did the work. I was just present for repeated try-ons). I almost forgot how much effort it is to make it fit! My thought when I first saw it was, that the maker made wrong measurements because of the much smaller waist band length compared to my hip style belt. I have already a quite slim waist, but to tighten the waist band, I still have to move in my belly. Not easy to do alone. My mom first helped to get the latches on the pin. I guess it has to be like that since the body gives much more way in the waist area compared to the hips.
@catherine98 Now to the new cb: The belt is much higher in the waist than I expected. Despite the ergonomic shape, the lock is almost covering my belly button. That feels much different! My desired effect of relieving parts of the covered skin from the old waist band seems to work. And the flat shield without second lock is so much better! Almost invisible under tight pants and clothes catch less down there! The shape of the shield in the crotch area looks very similar to my other cb. However, the fit is somehow different. It gives more pressure against the pubic bone right above my vulva. This is probably because of the smaller band circumference in the waist. When I pull a chord below the shield at that spot, it chafes and pinches while moving it, even a little painful. Sometimes, use a chord to deal with itching or to get some movement under the shield. This is much restricted with the waist style cb. Another thing is that the new cb restricts torso movements a little more than the old one. For example, sitting crooked is uncomfortable. Security is comparable to my old one, maybe even a little increased. When I tuck up and spread my legs, the shield becomes slightly tighter between my legs. With the old cb, it tends to be slightly loser in that position. Don't know if this is because of the belt style or because it is just a tighter fit than the other one
thank you for the clarification .
the waist style belt we wear actually seems to be a bit safer. she said at the hips style belt the sign slides a bit and you get a little air down there (if you spread the legs) .
at the waist style belt i had the impression like Catherine . when i spread the legs (which i can't do anymore now ) the sign pressed more strongly against my vulva
I have also no experience with the hip style. The waist style looks a bit more strict for me, too. If it comes to your possibilities to pleasure yourself and if it comes to clothes.
Never experienced hips style too,and I don't think I've a chance to convince my parents to buy one...I think too the waist one is more strict.
it will move with the hips and rub all the time
Renita According to @catherine98, that's not an issue.

@catherine98 I tried lots of movements like you suggested. Walking is not yet a big issue. Possibly I will get trouble with chafing for longer walks. I also tried some stretching exercises just to make some extreme movements. It all seems bearable, however turning the upper part of the body relative to the hips is a bit restricted. I tested sitting down, which was not a big problem, however it feels very strange to feel no contact to the chair in my crotch.
Oh, there are lots of citations!
In the meantime, after several changes between both belts, I guess I have a quite good experience.
Waist style is more restrictive, since it restricts certain torso movements more than hip style. It is true, that the shield tightens more when spreading legs compared to hip style. But in this respect, the difference is not too big.
For me, hip style is as secure as waist style. No chance for me to orgasm while wearing both belts up to now. However putting or pulling something below the shield is easier with my hip style belt.
Vanessa is right, hip style shows less under clothes. With high waist pants, short tops are wearable.
All in all I like much more hip style, because it allows more movements and more clothes. Only the shield of my waist style cb is better, because it is not adjustable, so the there is no additional lock, which makes the shield very flat. I am thinking about to get a similar shied for my hip style.
However, what I can recommend to you the most, is to change between both styles frequently. For me, it is a little more comfort, if the pressure spots change from time to time.
catherine98 Oh, there are lots of citations!
I just didn't want it to get lost, since you never know what might happen to the misterpoll in future.
But if it's inaccurate, let me know.

How about an ability to slide it down? That's the biggest concern of many parents as I know.
Laura How about an ability to slide it down? That's the biggest concern of many parents as I know.
No, unfortunately, that is impossible. The hip bone is not flexible.
Laura But if it's inaccurate, let me know.
I donβt care. Itβs more kind of honor
catherine98 No, unfortunately, that is impossible.
Unfortunately? Would you do it if it were possible?
Renita Unfortunately? Would you do it if it were possible?
Sure I would do and probably everybody else here, too. But up to now, both of my belts resisted all my escape trials
catherine98 No, unfortunately, that is impossible.
That's good news.
What belt are you in now? Waist or hips?
catherine98 But up to now, both of my belts resisted all my escape trials
This is understandable, otherwise the parents would not have put them on you. But you agreed and accepted it initially
Laura I just didn't want it to get lost, since you never know what might happen to the misterpoll in future.
Presently,it doesn't work since several days,at least the "search" part.

I guess too all of us would do it.Sorry you're not able to escape even the hip style one.
A question, about this topic, being the tightness a main factor in the belting, but I have ever think that pression of the hip belts in the bones have to be very painful.
But I recognize, they are beautiful designs, similar our curse with shoes:
