for me both have the same sense and as i said before, i am not against male chastity in principle, but like women only against forced chastity. but thigh bands for men make no sense 😂

Well, as you are a bdsm-like couple you might need it one day. But the girls are right, there's no need to wear them for the purpose of being chaste. Just for the purpose of being punished or whatever. (Or for the puepose of forced feminisation of course, too)

Maybe some people just calm down somehow because they know they have absolutely no chance to cheat on the belt with the restraints, so they give up fighting and calm down by that.
And others just feel comfortable in restraint and calm down by that.
