MissBlossom Thank you, a took a little break, good to be back.
AJ (Aunt Jenna) and I have worked out an agreement between the two of us should I want the belt off. She modeled it after reading about the idea from another post a few months back. I think it was @Angelina that originally suggested it.
Essentially I have to formally ask to have the belt removed, this would involve me signing a piece of paper that she keeps in her safe, the same one as the key is kept. At that point a 2 week "cooling off" period begins. She thinks this will prevent me from making "rash and hasty decisions that I may regret later". If at the end of the 2 weeks I still want it off she will give me the keys and that's it, I am free to take it off. AJ has made it clear that she will do whatever she can over those 2 weeks to convince me that taking it off is the wrong decision. If I still decide I want it off she will hand me the keys to remove it. She said once I take it off she won't ever ask me to wear it again and she is done with her obligation to protect me.
She takes this seriously, which at first kind of freaked me out, but now I understand it a little better.
