To clarify, I don't see this as too black-and-white as you might. For me, there is a distinction between forcing someone to wear the cage and making it absolutely optional.
They did NOT force it on me, as in the way:
- they didn't hold me while putting it on
- they didn't put it on me while sleeping
- they didn't beat me until I agreed
... that would obviously be a clear abuse without further questions.
On the other hand, to wear it WAS hardly optional because:
- they presented clear arguments why to wear it
- didn't really ask me whether I wanted it or not
- they already had the cage prepared
- financial dependency ... uh, probably clear
... which I don't see as abusive (just ... not normal I guess?), as if something was really wrong, we could talk it out.
Do you still see that as abusive?
Also, I should mention again that my boyfriend has the keys now, and everything is optional (or at least, consensual).
