It must be a different measurement technique if you wish to make a shield non-bendable. Right now they know length only and it's your responsibility to adjust shield's shape to fit you.

    I wear the cable one too.My parents have decided it for me,but I don't complain,as I've often read it is the "least worse" sort of rear.

    I've no experience with other rears,however.

      Same here. I always thought without questioning it that most long time wearers used a similar configuration.

        catherine98 And I cannot imagine, that rigid style can be cleaned on the back side while wearing.

        Well measured it is very unlikely to have "accidents", but of course even you can clean a little, is not enough and it is not easy.
        And as I said in some post I am very obsessed with cleaning of the belt, specially rear.
        I awake a little earlier to have perfectly clean my belt for the afternoon.
        Cleanness has to be of big importance for the girls.

          i have a rigid back, it is definitely very restrictive but cables or chains keep my father too insecure. with chains i imagine it but painful if you sit longer, because the pressure is not evenly distributed.

          since I have only a small hole in the back to "crap", I have to be very careful that the hole over my hole sits correctly otherwise I have big problems.

          it was difficult in the beginning and my father often had to unlock me to clean, but he insisted that I learn it and now it works well

            BikelockFugitive I have a feeling that you can’t imagine how the female body works. Ask your girlfriend to undress and look carefully. Cut out for example a paper belt and attach. Then you will understand better.

                          i think it would bother me to sit on chains all the time, there are certainly bad pressure points in the backside, but i think it's a matter of getting used to

                                            The cable is thick enough and tense enough to prevent any access,without being painful or making to go to the toilet too hard.
