Can the cable on the neosteel be detached while wearing it?
BD1791 I think I'm going to take the advice of Owl and get the D-Rings so I will always have the option to add them later.
I don't have them, for example. And there is the whole topic about it

Thank you. I feel like I have been reading about belts for weeks then I join this forum and I barely scratched the surface. I have a lot of reading to do.

BD1791 try and succeed or just try? Do people usually sleep with thigh bands on?
Yes.
When going to bed and if we are going to stay home alone, we must avoid devoting too much effort to fighting the belt.
There are other girls who wear them permanently, but in my opinion it is for other reasons since you don't always need that extra protection.
BD1791 . I think I'm going to take the advice of Owl and get the D-Rings
There are girls like @Jen who have D rings and do not wear bands.
BD1791 try and succeed or just try?
You can slide flat elements, but you will fail if you want achievement enough stimulation.
James it's just very hard.
No, it is not. Use them 24/7 as some girls do is verte haré, but sleep is not. You need some time to get used, and you can use some pillows similar to those used by pregnant women.
BD1791 Why are thigh bands something we might want?
In the end, you, who are a woman in a relationship, is your partner the one who must decide, after listening to you, but his expectations about the belt are as important as yours.
As @"Ines" has already written - other chastity components like bands can help to avoid "security problems"

BD1791, I'm not offended in any way. You're using the forum in the way as intended and get a jump start in knowledge that some users didn't have when they started. Feel free to ask; I'd say you are at a very good place to get qualified answers from various perspectives.
Concerning the Rings, I guess you already got helped, didn't you?
(Maybe once I'll compile a factsheet of belt-/accessories-effects, that have everything combined in one document. Until then, I'm afraid you have to combine individual user posts and draw your own conclusions.)
I'm sure you'll find even more flowery reports, why accessories can enhance your chastity experience, besides being pretty intense -- for weal or woe. (Hopefully for the better.)
IIRC, I think it was one of UWC's belted wives (maybe @Yolanda, or was it @Tere ?), who described it as overwhelming feeling of having to "donate oneself fully" to their husband. (Please correct me, if I misrepresent you.)
Then there is an "educational value" of improving one's posture and gait - depending on exact belt and band configuration.
But I'm afraid I'm exceeding the of scope of the original question.
BD1791 […] feel like I have been reading about belts for weeks then I join this forum and I barely scratched the surface. I have a lot of reading to do.
Know what you mean. Once you deal with it, the topic appears surprisingly vast, up to being intimidating.
Also don't demand too much of you. Don't overwhelm yourself right from the start - neither in terms of information nor in terms of actual "doing" chastity. You can't reasonably get from naughty to sixty right from the start, anyway. (You'll most surely have read about training and adaptation periods - fundamentally important for mind and body!) Get the chastity groove slowly! Harsh methods caused too much tears already!
Yet, If you just avoid most common errors, you're good. If your belt is chosen well and prepared, you can always go stricter. ("Chastity greed" over months and years, trying more and more over time, is not unheard of. Don't enforce it though! ;-))
To conclude the "Ring-Topic": If I were you, I'd just order 3 D-Rings or similar connection adapters just in case, and be done with it. Get a belt nicely prepared out-of-box, and feel fine. (Keyword: Warranty - better manufacturer does the work, than having to let a third party tinker with the belt w/o manufacturers approval...)
Maybe get yourself correctly measured for thigh-bands as well. This can be a particularly good idea, if you visit the manufacturer at their place and they can do it professionally and give you additional suggestions and advice on wearing.
If you are super-enthusiastic (and have the money!), order some bands (ideally with adjustable width to play with wearing heights later) together with the belt. But - after being sure the delivered quality is OK - I'd rather keep them in the box for future use. Don't overdo it.
You'll have so many things to learn. It should feel right for you and your keyholder and give you both confidence and a wonderful connection, not start with "bad blood". Though a little bit of "blood, toil, tears and sweat" (taken with a grain of salt) might happen. But please, just a little! It's your life and your partnership.
OK, enough with the my motivational speech ... ;-)
For the sake of completeness and to focus more on Neosteel specifically, again: For the belt sides Neosteel also provides alternative connection adapters looking like flat cylinders; effectively they fulfill the same purpose as classical D-Rings. For the crotch it's just D-Ring, although for Neosteel these are pretty nicely integrated into the shield. (Personally I like their style more than MS, in this regard. But that is my opinion)
Regarding the rear configuration, I hope you'll got enough input already. Ask, whenever you need more.
And as Renita already mentioned: We'd be happy if you came back to provide your feedback and your experiences whether positive or negative. (Again, I hope the former.) This forum lives from the shared, real-world experiences and contributions of it's users.
Abby82 It makes it impossible to try to get free space under the shield by spreading the legs. And also are partly in the way if trying something... Impossible for me to reach my pussy with anything when i have them.
That makes a lot of sense. Thank you for explaining it.
Can one set of thigh bands work with multiple vents are are though bands only comparable with belts from the same maker?

I'll definitely let you guys know how it goes. I really appreciate all of the information.

I'm in the US so this does not seem like a reasonable possibility. I'm getting the measuring kit so hopefully that helps and I don't have a mistake with measurements.
