Maximus then you mean first key is not voided?

No the first key is not voided. The change key can only be used to set the lock to accept any one of up to 7 different keys. The change key by itself cannot open the lock. There is no need to set the keys sequentially you could start of with key No 5, change to No 2 then No 7 or any other pattern you liked.

The uses I see are
1). when you only have 1 key and the change key it can be used so that both keys and presumably both key holders have to be physically present to unlock the belt.
2). When several people have a legitimate right to open the belt they could all hold keys and the belt could be programmed to that key before the wearer went there. Only examples I can think of would be the family doctor if they understood and accepted chastity, relatives if going to stay long term, there are probably others I can't think of.

    Taz
It is interesting if for example girl is going to be out.
We can take a key that only will open once the belt.
    Right?
    It is good system.

Not know why but this remind me the way Americans and Russian authorize use of their country representative nuclear arsenal đŸ¤Ŗ

I must say that I have intellectual kink about game theory and Mutually Assured Destruction

So I wonder why those pore kids not use nuclear option and report such whicked parents to police ?

Bondage kink with willing partners is one kind doing it for real to kids is bad ☚ī¸

Taz If you decide to pick it you are gambling that either you are very good at picking or that there are no trap pins in that lock

    Thanks. Better not try

Maximus Then always exist an even key that programs the lock for the next key? which only works if is the proper key for the previous programming? or if you own the "programming keys", can be used at any time independently of current programmed key?

Tobbe How many wearing a chastity belt, have the key + 3D scanner and 3D printer? đŸ¤Ŗ

thank you for giving my answer already. it is scary that some users think everything is so simple. 😂

      Taz
This is all very fascinating to me. Could the change key still be used after you change the pins to a different orientation? Would you have to unlock the belt first then use the change key? Can a change key ever unlock a tollyboy lock?

      • Taz replied to this.

I guess @BikelockFugitive is going to answer here soon!😉

        Taz

It would be appreciated if you talk a bit about yourself in the introduction topic.

Taz A trap pin variant looks exactly the same as any other 7 pin radial.

        Does Tollyboy use these?

Tobbe How many wearing a chastity belt, have the key + 3D scanner and 3D printer? đŸ¤Ŗ

        Right!😉

Taz Tollyboy did offer permanent locks. These look normal, have a key but will only turn clockwise. They are literally use once and the key is thereafter useless.

For what purpose? It seems totally useless for chastity belt,if we can't open it after it's locked...

        Ines

Yes,for such purpose,it can be useful.

        Laura Thanks. Better not try

        Would you have tried,otherwise?

          Vanessa

Tollyboy have built from scratch and modified some standard locks to use trap pins, they have never been on the website but have been built as specials for customers who were particularly worried about security.

Permanent locks were offered as a joke and people bought them. I can only assume they are used by people never intend to take the belt off as a replacement for a normal lock. I further assume you buy a belt, wear it, adjust it until it is absolutely perfect then once comfortable with it replace the lock with a permanent one. I have no idea why anyone would spend the money to do this when if they wanted it permanent you could just throw the key away or if wanting to remove the temptation to try to pick it fill the lock with epoxy or similar. Until such time as there is a belt that has no glued on edging or plastic covered cable I personally see it as being pointless as the belt will have to come off for maintenance. It still doesn't stop people buying them. Perhaps they are just a threat to say to the wearer you do know there is a non removable lock on the shelf that I could use.

            Raziel

The change key can always be used to change the orientation of the lock it never permanently disables a key just changes which one can be used. It cannot open the lock.

              Taz
So, I understood lock was available just once.
But reading again, now I understand, for example, that position "1" will be opened every time with key "1" so many times as we want.
              It us this way?

It would be great you make a little introduction of yourself!

              • Taz replied to this.

Taz Can I actually have a link to such a model? I haven't actually seen them a whole lot.

                https://www.ebay.com/itm/181982437897

That is a generic change key tubular lock. As you see from the image the front face is numbered 0 - 7 there are 8 keys which will also be numbered and the red top key which is the change key.

I'll see if I can find some better images and a sectioned view of the lock somewhere.

@Taz none of this is clear from owning or looking at a Tollyboy.
I wonder if my moms had all of this, and honestly it sounds a bit like a scifi nuclear novel than for something as high quality as tollyboy but it is more of an open concept that can be customized.

In some ways the conversation got a little paranoid but overall an interesting concept so thank you.

                  Taz
I do not know any chastity belt with that kind of lock.
I thought the system was a padlock. I do not know if this can be useful.

It should be nice if you write something about you in introduction topic. Thanks.

                  Ines T

Over the years Tollyboy have made a great many specials as well as the standard locks. They have mostly used 7 pin radial locks, there are an unknown number of 8 pin radial locks out there probably about 2 dozen, there are probably a few dozen change key variants they are higher than a standard lock. There are also a few custom made 13 pin radials, these have a double row of pins with cuts on the inside and out side of the key.

There are modified version of all the above locks, the modifications ranging from changing the pinning to modifying the lock to use trap pins. Modified locks look exactly the same as unmodified locks. I don't know how many trap pin locks there are but I believe more than 50.

There are 2 or 3 Van locks (these take an extremely odd key with pins in it pressing into holes in the lock), there are about half a dozen Medico these are almost twice the height of a standard lock and take different keys. There are the old padlocks of the original Hal Higginbottom design of which I know little and there is one Galaxy Lock from the Australian Lock Co. This is a serious horror show if you want to pick it, probably the most secure mechanical lock of all time. There is also one flat radial where the pins push outward at 90° to the direction of the key this is only about 6mm high.

There are also the permanent "locks" which only contain a one way roller clutch so they can only be screwed on there are about 20 of them sold.

I should have introduced myself earlier sorry about that I got distracted. Probably none of you know me, almost all of you know of me, probably some of you hate me. I am Tollyboy. I have been building these for half a life time.

                    Taz
                    Oh!
A pleasure. I await for give you the welcome of a legend in introduction topic.

Taz There are also the permanent "locks" which only contain a one way roller clutch so they can only be screwed on there are about 20 of them sold.

Frankly, I can not see the point of a permanent lock. 🤷đŸģ‍♀ī¸ It seems to me even dangerous.

Taz There are probably a few other extremely rare locks that I have forgotten about, that were only ever experimental and never got into a production belt or that were supplied by a customer and the design modified to make them fit.

Taz Do you know if anyone ever got stuck? Any horror stories you'd like to share with us? 😀
