Avery Mostly stuff like ergonomic advancements, stuff that cannot really be put down to one specific feature common to all modern belts. But there is a reason people buy belts from renowned manufacturers for the price of half a dozen generic chinese belts or more. And even those are designed so they could be worn for longer than the interval between two bathroom breaks (or the drainage in the shield would be quite redundant), but of course on those it might be just to tick a check box for a feature list or to entertain masochists - just because they can be technically worn all day for a short period does not mean that it is a pleasant experience.
But I am with you on the credibility constraints. Even with a relatively long break-in period, it seems a bit far-fetched to be wearing those things 23/7 for years. Even a month at a time with only short cleaning breaks and no real cool-down recovery period - especially since many of the girls here report having worn the belt at an age where I doubt their bodies have already completely finished growing. Slightly more believable with the boys who do not have to deal with the whole waist band and tight-fitting crotch strap, but with those I am surprised how few of them have had success at... worming themselves out, so to speak.
So yeah, plenty of things to be doubtful about, but wearing a belt on bare parts for more than a few hours is not really among them from my point of view. Now granted, we do not have the same anatomy, but for either sex there is a huge variance on anatomy in this area and some people might just have better luck with the cards they were dealt... if you want to call being relatively comfortable in a snug chastity belt for days at a time luck.

It's interesting. I gained weight and size down there between ages 16-19 just by changing from girl towards woman. I did lift weights for that area which added size but I also ran which takes off weight. Of course not everybody does those last things. Plus I get a little puffy with each period. Plus there's variables like academic stress taking off weight and not running due to injury putting weight on. Everybody has odd things going on in the teen years. I was hoping some careless female would contribute some nonsense I could call them on but instead I got thoughtful male answers.
Cb85 I guess with girls this makes sense. But us guys that would be rather uncomfortable
Where is the difference?
Cb85 I wear underwear over the cage and under my pants.
that explains a lot, maybe especially the men here have to write whether they wear a belt or a cage, for the question whether and which underwear is certainly decisive.
Natalia only an bra again
so you don't wear any extra under pants?

Ten years ago I would have agreed completely. Seven years ago after first experience with a My-Steel CB, I would still have said: hard to believe. Since May 2019 I wear an improved My-Steel CB on average 160 to 165 hours a week. During Corona lockdowns, there were only one hour cleaning breaks every 7 to 14 days. I can't prove it to anyone but I know: 23/7 is definitely possible, although of course not with every belt.
By the way, I wear thin synthetic panties as underwear. The cotton sports briefs I was used to can cause sore spots if they are between the edge of the shield and the skin.
I wear my cage usually a week at a time I get to take it off so the cage can soak in vinegar for 15 minutes to a half hour.
While Im washing up my wife is getting ready for bed then before Iβm even out of the tub it goes back on.
Did that for a whole year.

I have seen people on the internet who have had similar experiences with male belts. Some even posted pictures with security seal stickers to prove that they did not take more breaks than they said they would. But a) those are usually older men whose bodies are not growing and b) I would expect belts with penis tubes to have a much larger range in which they are secure, but still wearable than something that needs to close against the skin tightly enough to prevent getting a finger in.

I think on that part you are wrong.
The penis tube has to be very tight otherwise the soft penis can be pulled out. But having the tube pressed tight against the body causes pressure spots and respective issues much more easily than a female belt does.
Because the female belt can be worn actually very tight even with some pressure on the genital area, because it is wide and flat, so the force is distributed relatively evenly across a larger area. The rest is basic physics: force per area = pressure. So same force (tightness of belt) but larger area on the female crotch guard is less of an issue because the strain on any given point of skin is much lower.
a question for men who have experience with both a belt and a cage: did you wear different underpants for the different devices? i.e. different underpants for the cage than for the belt?

I have only limited experience with a cage but did not try any special underweare at that time as tight male cotton slips were OK. Skin care and sore spots have become a topic only since I wear a belt.
For males wearing a cage, Ergowear briefs or bikinis are a perfect choice. The are strong but stretchy material with an ample pouch for the package. The material will absorb the few drops that stay in the tube. They make a cage completely comfortable assuming you have a good fit. They are expensive but last forever.

My belt is not bigger than a cage, at least not where it matters. On the contrary, no more need for male underware with my belt because there is no more bulge in the crotch. The main difference is that a CB front shield has sharper edges than a high quality cage. Thus the risk of sore spots increases if the underweare is no thin and flexible.
