Mike_Orca During Corona lockdowns, there were only one hour cleaning breaks every 7 to 14 days. I can't prove it to anyone but I know: 23/7 is definitely possible, although of course not with every belt.

I have seen people on the internet who have had similar experiences with male belts. Some even posted pictures with security seal stickers to prove that they did not take more breaks than they said they would. But a) those are usually older men whose bodies are not growing and b) I would expect belts with penis tubes to have a much larger range in which they are secure, but still wearable than something that needs to close against the skin tightly enough to prevent getting a finger in.

youdontknowme I would expect belts with penis tubes to have a much larger range in which they are secure, but still wearable than something that needs to close against the skin tightly enough to prevent getting a finger in.

I think on that part you are wrong.
The penis tube has to be very tight otherwise the soft penis can be pulled out. But having the tube pressed tight against the body causes pressure spots and respective issues much more easily than a female belt does.
Because the female belt can be worn actually very tight even with some pressure on the genital area, because it is wide and flat, so the force is distributed relatively evenly across a larger area. The rest is basic physics: force per area = pressure. So same force (tightness of belt) but larger area on the female crotch guard is less of an issue because the strain on any given point of skin is much lower.

a question for men who have experience with both a belt and a cage: did you wear different underpants for the different devices? i.e. different underpants for the cage than for the belt?

I have only limited experience with a cage but did not try any special underweare at that time as tight male cotton slips were OK. Skin care and sore spots have become a topic only since I wear a belt.

I assume a change could occur when men switch from the cage to the belt because the belt is significantly bigger than the cage?

For males wearing a cage, Ergowear briefs or bikinis are a perfect choice. The are strong but stretchy material with an ample pouch for the package. The material will absorb the few drops that stay in the tube. They make a cage completely comfortable assuming you have a good fit. They are expensive but last forever.

My belt is not bigger than a cage, at least not where it matters. On the contrary, no more need for male underware with my belt because there is no more bulge in the crotch. The main difference is that a CB front shield has sharper edges than a high quality cage. Thus the risk of sore spots increases if the underweare is no thin and flexible.

The difference from the little I know is about weight. A metal cage adds so e weight and that pulls on the testicle behind which the anchoring ring is locked.
This can get very uncomfortable or even painful, so cage wearers usually prefer underwear that supports the weight of the cage.
For belts regarding underwear there is not much difference between men and women - whatever floats your boat and hides the belt well enough.

so you don't wear any extra underwear since you switched from the cage to the belt?

I still wear panties but mostly plain panties basically designed for women a they fit better over the belt.

everyone as they like, my father has not worn extra underpants over the belt since he started wearing it.

no, why? when i'm at home, i don't wear extra underpants under my belt either.

Pantyhose or tights hide them well.

My Neosteel Fun creates a fairly flat profile in front, so my typical men's briefs end up being a little baggy in that area. I find that some support is nice for the testicles since there is no shield on the Fun, I did some searching and found some women's briefs that provide good support, do not look feminine in any particular way and they are comfortable. I didn't want something feminine and I knew I was unlikely to find something that fits closer in that area in a men's variety, so these worked out pretty well.
