I have stumbled across this website. It seems to be a hobbyist prototype with the intention of going into production by the end of this year.

I have a few concerns regarding the plastic but the design of the shield seems rather innovative and comfortable.

cantsolvethecaptcha Looks kind of interesting. Not sure how I’d feel about being able to see what’s off limits though. And the straps seem easy to cut and get it off. But guess it’s something to keep an eye on.

It seems me ugly and so many plastic, I do not want think about it with hot weather.

Ines Hot weather is a really good point! Due to the bigger volume of the shield, there might be the posibility for ventilation holes. Also it may help with accumulating moisture.

The Idea is not bad but not a solution for everyone and every condition.
I think the 3D prints are good to Test how is it and improve it. Drawback is the rough surface. But If the Design is OK infection moulding has mich better surface.
I think it should Not be a Problem to integrate a proper airing in the Design.
Many do not trust CBs Out of plastik butbit would be possible to make a Metal Version with 3D printing and some post work for the surface inside.

well it looks really very interesting, i have to admit that, it's an innovation.

In addition to the topic of plastic, which @Ines correctly described, I also imagine it to be difficult from a psychological point of view. I imagine if I had to wear this and my girlfriend could see my most intimate parts but not touch them, that would probably provoke a lot more frustration than now

yes, that can even be the case, but I still stand by the fact that it is psychologically difficult. I also imagine that I can see my private parts myself at any time, but seeing that for years but not being able to touch it seems almost unbearable

I rember years ago there was a French manufacturer that made belts out of plastic. I think they were called reinholds but I think they went out of business in the 90s

If you use the right material you will not cut it with a scissors or a knife.

The clear part is an option I reckon.

Philip You wear talking about the Reinholds one. As far as I know glass fibre fabric with epoxy. It was a stiff one with hinges.
