Theres really no reason not to in our experience but she doesn't seem to miss the support embracing feeling...
She seems to be doing well and adjusting in stride. I do wonder even if she isn't married yet if she wants more people to be around maybe other girls from work. The girls I work with mostly want to fight over tips / commissions so I don't get a lot of togetherness.

I didn't mean to sound skeptical before it just sounds like the entire experience with her mom is a burden and like you said since she started as a wife not as a girl a reasonable accommodation could be offered.
