No matter what you think about what your aunt did, there remains a crucial difference. Jenna asked you for consensus beforehand, but Monica didn't do that. There is no consent from Jane (not even a reluctant one like "I don't like it, but I can accept it"). It was decided entirely over Jane's head what should happen and that's a no-go

I do agree with this, at least at the beginning, but now there is dialogue now so Jane doesn't feel quite so trapped. I know she is nervous about trying it. You are right about AJ, she was tough at first but she chilled later on and ultimately got what she wanted. I hope Monica does the same thing, but the circumstances and the urgency are way different.

Taking it slow to start makes sense as it can take some time to adjust to wearing. Maybe Jane can for the first few weeks (only) have a spare key in a sealed envelope?

Owl I agree with a lot of what you say here, aside from here getting a chastity belt for herself. i have had conversations with her several times about toning it down. Jenna I support a belt for Monica. She would know first hand the difficulty and the emotional aspects and would be a good example for Jane. I think it will be comforting and easier for Jane if her mother join in.

I did talk to Jane and the belt did come yesterday. She got a text from her mom saying she needed to come home right after school. Her mom put it on her and told her she needed to start getting used to it and she should expect to wear it whenever she leaves the house, especially at night and on the weekends.

She only wore it for a few hours before her mother unlocked it. She did not have to sleep with it and no thigh bands. She said she did not like it, but she said her mother and her talked many times about why it was necessary to curb her behavior. She agreed to try it out for a while. I told her not to agree to it if she wasn't ready. She knows her mom is angry and wants to curb her. She said she would agree to wear it for a while, whatever that means. Not sure she even knows. She wants peace with her mom.

I told her to call me whenever she wants and that it gets easier.

The question is, is that the short-term goal or the long-term goal? If that’s the goal the thigh bands make no sense. Since random sex would be what’s be prevented. But I fear that isn’t what her goal is and she’ll be forced into all of it as soon as she’s able to wear the belt for longer periods

Angelina Jane did wear it last weekend, she stayed home and has been wearing it most of the week, but only at home. She has not worn any thigh bands. To be honest I think this is just a period wear each of them is just testing the other. I think Jane knows her mother is serious about this and it is not just some "passing fad".

To be honest, I had hoped with AJ that it would be that way and she would eventually lose interest, But it is just the opposite. She takes it very seriously for Kate and me.

I do know they talk about it, Jane knows that her circumstances have changed in a big way. Jane said she has checked out the forum. I did when AJ told me about it. It did seem weird seeing people talk about me and not participating, so I finally did join and don't regret it. Maybe she will too.

i see no reason for a belt for monica, i don't think it makes things better for jane either, i think it would be best for jane to be involved in the rules decisions

A thing is to avoid sexual promiscuity, - and no, unilateral imposition of a belt is not the way-, and another different is a rule of 0 releases, - thighbands are not for another reason-. So if 0 is the accepted and unilaterally set politics, then she should wear a belt because 0 is 0.
Further if she wears a belt she will now what is she asking for.

so i don't know the exact goals, maybe @Jenna and @Susan know more about that. i think wearing it when you're not in the house would be a compromise both sides could live with. i think 24/7 for Jane wouldn't be right, i can't think of a reason though that would make it easier for jane if monica wears a belt too

Monica would like her to wear it full time when she leaves the house for any reason, but that apparently is something they are "working on".

Jane does not have to wear the belt full time for this. Monica tells Jane when she leaves the house and Jane puts the belt on, when Monica is back home the belt comes off.

I'm glad she's had a look around, I think it's beneficial for Jane and Monica to get help to find a solution they can both accept.

i agree but for different reasons. none of the girls seem to really think that a belt is the right thing to do, they all just want to make their aunt or mother happy.
