Ines That is the problem. Restricting the life of the person more likely to be a victim while the potential perpetrators run around free creates a might-makes-right situation. I totally agree with you that protecting yourself can still be advisable (and have gotten backlash from feminists for it, who claim that promoting defense is like blaming victims for insufficient protection and excusing the perpetrators), but that does not change the inherent unfairness in that.

Partially agree. You are right if you are talking about potential aggression, but if you talk about consent sex, then it is not unfair, simply we are different.

I would argue that consenting means accepting the potential consequences, and that is a choice that the participants have to make for themselves. I do however concede a point for impaired judgment, like when alcohol is involved or something. If both parties are similarly drunk and agree to something they would not have agreed to sober, you cannot really blame any one person for that. A sober man should know a seriously drunk woman's consent is not valid consent, but you cannot expect the same of someone who is also consenting out of drunkenness.

And considering how those situations probably make up a significant number of regretted sexual encounters, you have a point there.

I do not always like being in my belt but I will admit that at corporate functions and other social situations, being belted makes me treat women "better". By this, I mean, more as a person and not as a potential conquest. It makes for better, more interesting, and more respectful interactions.

Such contracts go against the very idea that consent can be retracted, so I guess their merit is mostly in increasing the burden of proof for the prosecution in case of a frivolous rape claim?

That is a pretty massive caveat to put in there, when you consider there is a systematic bias against women with respect to hiring and promotional practices, as well as the additional asymmetric burden of domestic chores and childcare.
