Yes. If you do actually want to understand how it works: you get a combination safe (more digits = better), once you have agreed to a lock-up with a keyholder you lock the chastity device, put keys in safe, set random combination to safe, put the combination into a special app for keyholding (there's one in particular), lock the safe and be at the mercy of the keyholder who can choose to release the safe combination through the app. However, you're supposed to keep a spare of the chastity cage keys for emergencies as well as an emergency unlock key to the combination safe (good safes have this option).
Also haha yes the best keyholders are people in person like girlfriends/boyfriends/wives/husbands however the app I mentioned has a very active community that ensures keyholders must perform their duties adequately. There are also multiple ways to get the combination from the app in an emergency so that no harm can occur to the lockee.
Whilst I 100% agree the fetish of chastity works much better in person but some people (like me!) lock up themselves because they enjoy the feelings that you get from staying denied.
