Did you take advantage of psychological care to be able to process the experience?

I suffered a lot from my mother's behaviour without realising it. After a few attempts I found someone who helped me. Now I am in the clear with it but nevertheless I remain to never see my mother again.

All right. Pru and I have been talking last night and this morning and I'm ready to do this thing before I talk myself out of it. I guess I'm temporarily in the "reluctantly belted" club! Since I'm pretty much the "every girl" of the thread name, this seems like a great place to write a diary.
Neither of us is as organized as some people here so there's no contract, it's all verbal. Here's the rundown: Pru will lock me in the belt this evening and I'll stay in it for 24 hours. After that, I can call this off or continue for the rest of the week. If I make it through the first day I'll commit to trying to be a good wearer for a week, which I figure even I should be able to pull off. I'll wear the shield for protective purposes. I don't like it but I accept it. Showers will be supervised just like hers are. Good news for me: the old belt isn't equipped for thigh bands and her current belt can't be adjusted to fit me, so no tightbands for Goody!
My conditions for Pru: She has to take her belt off the whole time. If she can be responsible for me, she needs to be responsible for herself. She needs to take this exercise seriously and think like an engaged keyholder. I'll defer to her authority around the house, and that means I get a break from being in charge for a week, laughs. Running a household is a big mental drain, she might be as eager to give that up as I am to get unbelted when this is over! A beltwearer shouldn't be giving orders to their keyholder, and if I'm going to do this thing, I want to do it right, dammit! This is also why I won't be a long-term wearer, though, laughs.
Pru doesn't get to tell my mother about any of this. If she feels like it she can say she's taking a brief break from the belt herself, but for her sake she should probably just not say anything and not set off my mother's nosiness.

Then + one hour each day, until you have held on for about a month and first then can wear it on you 24/7.
Forced use only causes discomfort and you will take it off after a few days. Then say that 24/7 is just a fabrication because you could not do it.

I'm sure I can make it past one day but I wanted to give myself the escape hatch. I'm too proud and bullheaded not to make it! And a week should be workable, especially since we're not going anywhere. I almost went for three days but I decided not to go small here. If it needs physically removed to give my body a break for a little bit since I'm not fully trained, Pru has to watch me like a hawk the whole time.
