Vanessa But an advice would be to not choose towns made mainly for tourists,but more ancient villages.There would be tourists too during summer but less,and I think these towns are more pleasant.If you want a place more known,but with a lot of tourists " La côte d'Azur" and especially "Saint Tropez" is well known(but expensive);never went here myself.
i would prefer small villages on the beach, i would also not stay in one place but rather see different places for one or two weeks and only stay in one place for one or two nights 🙂
Tobbe Sète and Montpellier are nice towns in the south France.
