Avery Interesting. It's listed on the site at $2399 Australian dollars, over 1500€.

that's no wonder, with all the technology that's built in, it goes far beyond a normal chastity belt

@CharInChastity
I saw the belt and actually thought that there was also a built-in GPS function, but I couldn't find anything on the page, how accurate is that?

Angelina The chastity belt is a prop from an adult movie and should never have been sold in reality, but someone recently sold a male version of the fancysteel premium chastity belt on Taobao for around 13,000 yuan ( $6,000). This GPS function is shown in the video, and in addition, the electric shock function does exist. With my knowledge of the quality and experience of the qiui series of electronic CB locks, I don't believe that any girl can wear any electronic chastity belt for many years.

Mine does not have true GPS. It can triangulate your signal from a WiFi access points or from a cell phone. So it can give my parents my location, but it quite the same as gps.

        CharInChastity
How do your parents know you're actually wearing it and not locking the chastity belt into the air?
I also want to know how fancysteel feels when you're menstruating.
        Thank you for your attention!

zyz I would assume unlocks would be supervised via video chat. And I feel a remote control keysafe and a key type that cannot be easily decoded visually (e.g. tubular or dimple) would achieve remote keyholding just the same without the need for a belt that violates more human rights than "merely" sexual self-determination

youdontknowme I very much agree with your point of view, my graduation project in college is a remote control password lock box. I still use it now, and I strongly disagree with the chastity belt she described. Nine times out of ten, those functions are abusive ,This post shouldn't be hereIt should be in the police station.

The more I read, the more difficult everything seems to me.
Everything from the dynamics, to the belt...
            Everything is twisted and complicated.

From what I'm reading, this particular belt seems very unusable as a belt for everyday use.

Ines Yes, and it sounds more and more like a fairy tale.

zyz Probaly supervised on video or at least sending tine stamped photo of it on. We haven’t worked out all the details yet. I’m on the injection that limits my period to once ever 4 months. When I do get my period the belt it unlocked for a tampon and relocked over it. I do t think a pad would work but I haven’t tried.

              CharInChastity
I have worn a belt for some time... I have a bit of experience about this matter.

zyz I don't believe that any girl can wear any electronic chastity belt for many years.

it shouldn't be worn in a parent-child relationship anyway. it is a luxury fetish device which in this constellation can become a torture device

so your parents can track you with it too?

Angelina so your parents can track you with it too?

Yes, but they can also track my phone so it’s not a big deal. They don’t watch everywhere I go.

I find it somewhat hard to believe that the FS Advanced belt even exists in non-prototype stage, let alone that someone uses it as a “serious” 24/7 chastity belt.

Last week FS's product page had photo of unassembked PCB of the thing, which I cannot find now. From that it was quite obvious that the “high power locking servo motors” are some kind of miniature RC PPM servos (well, in fact servo motor does not make much sense for this application anyway), then there is transformer and probably slightly over-spec'd NMOS for the shock part and footprint for some kind of castellated SoM (probably something ESP32 based). What was remarkably missing from the board was any kind of power management, which leads me to assume that the SoM used includes LiIon PMIC (AXP192?). It very much gives the vibe of modules from aliexpress slapped together.

Another thing is the manual which you can download from the FS site, which shows that:

                  • The thing has mechanical power switch that protrudes inside the shield and the construction of that switch alone as seen on the photo is anything but waterproof and probably cannot be made waterproof by any simple modifications.
                  • It communicates only through wifi, either by being an AP (what is it with various IoT crap working this way? just why?) or by connecting to exactly one configured AP as a STA. Which is not exactly useful when wearer wears it during the day and moves around and is not only in their house for remote play session.
                  • The mode is selected by spatial orientation of the belt when it boots.
                  • There is exposed reset button on the left side of the shield. That can be pressed by anyone and I would not be surprised if it also does full cold boot of the SoM => wearer can switch modes by pressing that button while assuming the right position.
                  • there is unique build of the control application for each belt. You can paint that as security feature anyway you want and it will still be a huge security red flag.

Also it seems that it does not include any kind of sensors. With the price of the thing adding ToF distance sensor behind the shield and pressure sensitive resistor somewhere along the waist band would be insignificant. Well one could even integrate optical heart rate monitor somewhere on the thing.

CharInChastity Mainly so they could lock and unlock me remotely when I go to college.

How could they lock you remotely?

Laura I though about including that in my wall-of-text post but in the end did not and apparently I didn't write that even in the refereced thread.

There is a reason why AirTags and such things use weird-ass protocol that is built around opportunistics contacts with nearby devices. GPS, or well, any kind of GNSS, receiver is inherently power hungry and just turning it off for some kind of sleep mode does not save energy as long as you want multiple location samples per day. Uplinking that data is another issue. Some kind of PLMN modem would look like solution, but also power hungry. And then: chastity belt involves a lot of stainless steel and all this involves RF with as little of SNR margin as possible, so well, no, it would not work.

You said it yourself. To only use WiFi. You cannot very well enter your WiFi keys on the device itself when the only Input you have are one or two buttons and the power line. So you need something that you can connect to before you enter your credentials, and since you already need to support WiFi to connect to the internet without a separate base station, just using a different type of WiFi network is a fairly straightforward solution.

6373e6b2 It very much gives the vibe of modules from aliexpress slapped together.

Basics of FS Advanced Chastity belt would be able to be built by anyone with knowledge about programming Arduino boards. Probably even I can build basic version of it myself if I could do metal works and resources. It's not somethng "advanced" at all, just a glorified programmable board I guess. (You can build any IoT devices with programmable boards with wireless connection.)

6373e6b2 The thing has mechanical power switch that protrudes inside the shield and the construction of that switch alone as seen on the photo is anything but waterproof and probably cannot be made waterproof by any simple modifications.

This is what I'm concerned the most, I'm for sure that water damage of small scale won't cause any visible damages for short term, but for a long term, it defnitely causes damages or even breaks the device. Imagine if all of sudden PCB breaks down due to water damage not addressed for long term and belt is locked. It would be the worst nightmare.

6373e6b2 There is exposed reset button on the left side of the shield. That can be pressed by anyone and I would not be surprised if it also does full cold boot of the SoM => wearer can switch modes by pressing that button while assuming the right position.

I'm not sure what that button would do to locking mechanism. Also according to manual there's one button on center of the belt, and I'm not sure what would it do, too.

I can find a manual here, when I browsed Fancy Steel website. It says "network reset" but I'm not sure what it realy does. I guess maybe resetting whole system? Or deleting remembered network connections? Assuming that she's in residence, or anywhere in college, unless belt has a celluar functions, it won't be able to connect to Wifi independently as most of college wifi routers are security enabled, so it is unlikely to be able to be used remotely in that far distance.

This is really vulnerable to social engineering, someone can convince to install remote access trojans on phones, espeically on android phones (I know even anydesk can remotely control a phone). In addition, how many security enhancements would a small chastity belt company would be able to implement compared to companies that professionally make IoT devices?

It can hold multiple networks. For now, one is my phones hot spot. One is my highschool network and one is home. The switches on the outside are really only used for set up. A little bit of silicone calk and they are water proofed. It’s not permanent and can be peeled off if needed.
