Chastity belt law
Angelina
I think no one was thinking about politics or today's society, in fact, I don't think a state should get involved in that.
Even today, some people would vote against their conscience believing that it is the right thing to do.
I also don't think a belt is a good idea for each and every one of us.
What I disagree with you is that nothing would happen to avoid masturbation. What's more, and following the game of this conservative society a bit, even if you want to put it to the vote, it would be enough to raise the age necessary to vote.
i don't quite understand the point you're trying to make. in this whole topic i was imagining what a law would look like and whether it would be possible to find a majority for it in society and in politics. and my answer would be yes if it's only about sex and no if masturbation is also "banned".
I had a great time reading this thread.
Although it is a thread about counterfactual elements, I think that the positions of many forum users are crystal clear.
I believe that this law would have many problems on a day-to-day basis, but if I work with my imagination a bit, I think that in theory, it is positive.
In my opinion, I think that a reasonable age limit would be menopause.
Although I see it as correct that the law was limited to unmarried women, in the end I believe that married women would end up wearing belts. First, some husband would not like his wife to be one of the few options for other men, and, probably, if she wears a belt, either because of pressure from husbands, or because of women for not wanting to appear "women easy", in the end it would spread.
And also, even if it's half in jest, it's okay for married women to wear it because that way, if they want to put their husband's bags at the door, they do it without thinking that it will mean wearing the belt.
I liked this thread, very well run, and without reading the sad things that are sometimes in others.
I'm so torn. It's so wrong but it would be so free to just have chastity be normal not have to explain why.
So I think it starts with the belts - like off the shelf secure and comfortable belts would be needed - that can just be worn not have training and hygiene problems.
And I want to think about here - I know some places have horrible inequality and the government would do things - but here I think it would start with women fighting to have agreements recognised. Like if someone offered to pay for my uni - but needed a binding chastity belt contract - probably can't be done but why not like we financial contracts for lones which affect us for decades. So yeah having contracts be actually binding is first - then it can spread
Jen I entirely agree that normalizing belts would change a lot of things. Also agreed that the dystopian âbelts by law for all unmarried womenâ version makes for a great setup for chastity fic but a terrible real world! But itâs interesting to consider a world where chastity agreements can be enforced; would there be government chastity monitors? That would get real weird, real quick.
It would just be wonderful if the government would make belts available for any "adult" woman that wants one. Kind of like Covid vaccine in the US. That would eliminate the cost issue and would normalize belt wearing to some degree.
bdsamm that would certainly be fascinating! You might even get some current US leaders on board with it in some states. Lord knows there are enough religious fanatics who would genuinely lock up women en masse. But I donât see it happening any time soon.
Saintprudence But itâs interesting to consider a world where chastity agreements can be enforced; would there be government chastity monitors? That would get real weird, real quick.
interesting, if it were introduced like this, suddenly all the contracts i made with my father about it would be legally enforceable. kind of a scary idea because it's always been a private thing
the idea could definitely be implemented in practice and would lead to normalization
I have another question for everyone
what is your opinion on replacing prison sentences with chastity sentences? So someone who gets 5 years in prison would get 5 years in a chastity belt instead. The question arises above all in relation to pure sexual offences

Thatâs one of the reasons it makes me nervous, too. Still, we would never see chastity devices go mainstream until culture is ready for mature discussions about sex. There are only two reasons to be locked into a belt: to prevent masturbation and to prevent sex. People just arenât ready for that conversation. I would love it if my belt were as commonly accepted as, say, the bulky braces I wore after my car crash years ago. But the difference is, nobody gets nervous and red-faced when talking about rehab equipment from a car crash. They get VERY weird about talking about masturbating-prevention equipment, though.
Saintprudence a binding contract between parents and adult children - omg yikes
Rafael it's okay for married women to wear it because that way, if they want to put their husband's bags at the door,
Yes there have to be options because I've been very fortunate in love but not to long ago I was depressed realizing not everyone has as sweet a romance as I do.

NO! That would not work out. Maybe it could be part of therapy for people who aren't restrained.
It could definitely help a few women to slow things down and think twice and decide not to get pregnant with a drug addict. Those have been problems with people in places with Meth and Opiod.
Just redoing the hallways and doors would probably prevent half of the times men rape each other.

Even in Saudi Arabia / Iran / Afghanistan their leaders don't (Even Talibans!) lock up women en masse...
I think there is hypocrisy. In the end I think that neither parents nor boyfriends nor husbands like their girls to do things.
With a law that allows them to put a lock on us, that's it, the government would not have to do more.
Yolanda is your belief then that the law should permit locking up but then stay out of it afterward?
