audioguy58 About 15 or 20 minutes into the movie, there is a scene where Kim Basinger and some guy are setting up a window display in the store in which they work. The guy says, “Let’s put the dog collar over here.” Kim Basinger, laughing at his naïveté, says, “It’s a chastity belt.”

And that’s all we get

No wonder I can't remember.

audioguy58 Seeing Natalie Portman wearing a chastity belt in Your Highness isn’t really a big deal;

Worse when women see those poorly fitting padlock fake belt type jokes it often cause brand new people to fit their belts wrong which will cause them to be terribly uncomfortable. You chastity belt is a work of art and it doesn't have to be expensive but it does need to be a part of your bones and your body or it will never feel excellent

audioguy58 One searches in vain for any kind of serious drama, set in the present day or recent past, in which a chastity belt plays an essential or significant role in the story.

that's no wonder because outside the "scene" and also partly inside the whole thing is not considered seriously. the chastity belt is often only used as a fetish toy or is made ridiculous. then better no films with belts than such nonsense.

audioguy58 … set in the present day or recent past

Or, one could perhaps imagine a story set in the near future, in which the society is not completely unrecognizable, but in which chastity belts, including parentally-imposed chastity belts, are common and accepted, or at least not completely unheard of. Kind of like when I was age 12 or 13 and daydreaming about what my upcoming high school years might or should look like.

you should actually only film the stories here from the forum, then we would have a whole season. each episode revolves around a different person from the forum 😉.

      does anyone like the idea?

Angelina The idea is good but the problem is he will not get sufficient information from you to make it look real.

i think you are right, you still get most of the information from me (with a few other users), but in general it is certainly difficult. but i find the idea interesting 😉

i read about her death, i don't know the film, must have been before my time when the lady was already 90

Actually, in mad max it worked as it should. Those were devices imposed on the harem of wives that he and Furiosa free from captivity. As soon as possible they proceed to dismantle them, but they are clearly people seriously abused and not a comedic scene.

Angelina Altairboy was sort of the prime chastity resource of "Web 1.0", as it would be called today (i.e. the pre-social-media WWW). Whenever someone had something chastity-related to share, they would mail it to him so he could publish it on his website.

I was hoping that would never come up. The movie didn't really distinguish those from just regular shackles at all in the 5 seconds on screen. You only know those knives were supposed to be chastity belts by googling some sort of directors commentary. At the same exact time the man was chained way worse sooo @Sin

Megan @Sin you don't happen to know if Fancy Steel actually made the Mad Max movie belts?
Because it's like honestly no one buys tampons or shoes or anything else from people into S&M so why does chastity get sexualized into such an uncomfortable thing

                    Megan
We have talked about this many times, but it is unpleasant that manufacturers target the fetish scene.
I understand that they have their business to support, but I do not like it.
Selling belts to those who want to deny them is probably more profitable than selling them only to people who want to avoid them.
I know that it is inevitable, and exaggerating, it would be as if a mother felt guilty because she bought a knife in the same store as a murderer.

I'm not sure but I presume so. Fancy Steel have some leather and steel hybrid belts that have a similar aesthetic. Although I'm pretty sure the latest Mad Max was actually shot in Africa so they could have come from anywhere really... they had some pretty talented designers working for them, they could have made them out of car parts!

Megan you don't happen to know if Fancy Steel actually made the Mad Max movie belts?

He didn't make it. After the film was released he contacted the studio to buy the original belt.
