curious Dire Straits, U2, Toto, R. E. M
Dad? Is that you?! That's a total Dad-rock playlist if ever I heard one! π
I've seen U2 live (with Kanye West lol)... growing up I got why they were so big, but then they just disappeared up their own rock-god bum hole, and became irrelevant overnight.
I like REM, and I appreciate the technical skill of Dire Straits, but I think the problem with that kind of music is that commercial stations (in Australia at least) still play it all day every day, and have been since before I was born, and most likely will do after I die, and it makes me want to smash the radio. Which is a shame because I get why it's good, I just can't listen to it.
