Chastity Devices and Daily Security Checks w/ Metal Detectors
Joh In the meantime, there are plastics that are stronger than stainless steel and weigh less. Especially for such a case, it would be a solution.
Are you certain you don't have any names of those? My husband has some doctor friends and they said something similar but they aren't certain they support chastity yet

BD1791 The shild and Lock part would be 3D prints. The belts are made out of parts for Industrial application. The lock I have in mind is a snap-in part with a unique number that has to be destroyed to open the CB. That way it would be without metal.
At the moment I am working on a way to adjust the waistband in a certain range without affecting the safety.
I have a question about that. If the waistband can only be opened on one side of the central lock, would that be enough? Or is it better if it has to be opened on both sides each time?

As far as I know, you are right; there have been prototypes, but never commercially available.
I would expect at least one technical difficulty though: such plastics can probably not be bent like metal, so how do you adjust it to the wearer? All the wearers here will have experienced that the belt needs to be adjusted numerous times to prevent chafing and pressure points, and to prevent any cheating. Otherwise you would probably need a design that can be adjusted based on a 3D scan of the body, and hope that it turns out right the first time. And even then, you could not adapt it to changes in the body, except probably slight changes in waist size. And would a 3D scan be sufficient? Is the fit of the belt not more dependent on the underlying bone structure than the surface of the skin that would be measured with such a scan?

I would use flexible plastic belts. You would not need any adjustment of the shape only for the length.
The shield could be adjusted accordingly from a 3D scan and printed.

This concern has every manufacturer to face. And they doing fine with some standard shield shapes. A 3D-scan would help to change some details but it does not mean to change the whole shield shape.
BD1791 I wasn't wearing it but that's what I hope happens when I am. It just makes me feel better that it's normal for them to not check me.
sounds good, at least it would reduce the danger significantly
so as far as the fit is concerned, i wouldn't make a big deal out of it. i think these plastic belts would only be used in situations where a metal belt can't be worn, which is usually not for long periods of time. there are also different materials that could be used, but i would have to ask an expert how flexible they are.
Went scrolling for topics I hadn’t seen before that might be worth responding to.
I go through the courthouse security fairly regularly when I accompany the attorneys as their assistant. Yes the belt (bra and bands) set off the metal detectors, but this hasn’t been as big a deal for me as some would imagine.
The first time it happened I simply asked the security officer if I could speak with the supervisor on the unsecured side of the check point. This is an important point, because if they have some objection to you bringing it inside you haven’t yet.
Once the supervisor came over I went aside with her and just bluntly explained what set it off. She wanted to see a bit of it and do a pat down, but that was it. So a quick pat down, she saw a bit of the waistband and that was that. She informed the others it’s a medical device and to just pat me down on the waist.
One thing to keep in mind though, I’m there sort of regularly with them so they pay me a bit less attention than visitors who are there for some other reason. For Jane average they’d likely be a bit more invasive to determine that it’s not a weapon that set it off.
Angelina I think when interacting with security, law enforcement or emergency services, they likely encounter thousands of people in their day. And have probably seen just about everything we can think of and a few we can’t.
So it really comes down to how we discuss this with them vs what we are discussing
