BD1791 I wasn't wearing it but that's what I hope happens when I am. It just makes me feel better that it's normal for them to not check me.

sounds good, at least it would reduce the danger significantly 😉

so as far as the fit is concerned, i wouldn't make a big deal out of it. i think these plastic belts would only be used in situations where a metal belt can't be worn, which is usually not for long periods of time. there are also different materials that could be used, but i would have to ask an expert how flexible they are.

a year later

Went scrolling for topics I hadn’t seen before that might be worth responding to.
I go through the courthouse security fairly regularly when I accompany the attorneys as their assistant. Yes the belt (bra and bands) set off the metal detectors, but this hasn’t been as big a deal for me as some would imagine.
The first time it happened I simply asked the security officer if I could speak with the supervisor on the unsecured side of the check point. This is an important point, because if they have some objection to you bringing it inside you haven’t yet.
Once the supervisor came over I went aside with her and just bluntly explained what set it off. She wanted to see a bit of it and do a pat down, but that was it. So a quick pat down, she saw a bit of the waistband and that was that. She informed the others it’s a medical device and to just pat me down on the waist.
One thing to keep in mind though, I’m there sort of regularly with them so they pay me a bit less attention than visitors who are there for some other reason. For Jane average they’d likely be a bit more invasive to determine that it’s not a weapon that set it off.

thanks for your experiences, it's interesting how cool some people react when you just have the courage to talk openly about it

Angelina I think when interacting with security, law enforcement or emergency services, they likely encounter thousands of people in their day. And have probably seen just about everything we can think of and a few we can’t.
So it really comes down to how we discuss this with them vs what we are discussing

For the medical side of services I can confirm this.

that's true, i've heard some very strange stories where a chastity belt is still something normal. however, in such a situation i would advise you to say that you wear it for protection, that's certainly the simplest explanation

Martin I have explained to security checkpoints that I have a metal belt around my waist. They usually ask if it is a medical reason and I say it is. They seem to accept this without any further questions. This might be because I am of an age when some sort of back brace would be expected.

Martin what explanation could be acceptable for boy in steel underwear? 🤔

i would say that i wear it as protection against bad decisions. i also meant self-protection with my post 😉

However, the belt does not feature a distinct locking system but plastic "snaps" in combination with anti-tamper stickers.

Angelina I don't think Fancy Steel's metal bra is particularly good as a "real" product rather than a fetish thing either.

i think so too yes, i am always surprised how some users write that the fancysteel belts are very safe, i always think they look like toys to me

Angelina The cables are maybe lighter than the traditional flat metal, but they're still thick steel cables. Possibly that makes them harder to break, rather than easier. The shield design is fairly similar to other belts, so I'm not really sure why they'd be more toy-like?

@Ines wears one and she confirmed it is save.
If you don't trust @Ines judgement I recommend you get your own one and test it by yourself. 😉

because in my perception the shield is far too small to be safe

thanks i'll pass 😂 and yes i believe what @Ines reported about it, it just looks so small, not as massive as the design i had
