I would believe it would end up in the same category as spankings. Technically illegal, with popular opinion ranging from horrified to "permissible in extreme situations" in most of the population, but also some people who think regular harsh discipline is the one true way to bring up children, regardless of what the law says.
What would you need for a chastity-friendly culture?
youdontknowme but also some people who think regular harsh discipline is the one true way to bring up children, regardless of what the law says.
that's right and i'll just say that spanking is socially more accepted than a chastity belt because many think that's how young people learn discipline. if it were the same with chastity belts, there would be more instances of forced chastity
Angelina Sorry, you ignore our law situation.
Our German law make it clear the sexual development is important and in the hand of everyone themselves.
$1631 (2) Children have a right to an upbringing free of violence. Physical punishments, psychological injuries and other degrading measures are inadmissible.
For me is this a clear indication forcing your children wearing a CB is a degrading measure.
I think that if the law clearly regulated the conditions under which children are allowed to wear a CB, it would hardly be possible to force them to do so. Everyone would be aware that it is most likely not okay if one of them would wear it.
Joh There are also laws against violence, and in some areas, people still believe in regular spankings and use them with impunity.

Yes, and it shows that the society ignore this fact. Some more other less.
If we break it down to the essentials, only when we are all committed and feel responsible will such things hardly ever happen.
Unfortunately, there will always be such things as violence against children, including their deaths.

Angelina it could even go so far that it is seen as similar to parents forcing their children to wear a bicycle helmet
Main difference is that chastity belt causes inconvenience to everyday things, as well as may cause multiple issues if it isn’t taken care of properly.
Abuseive parents aren’t likely to take care of it well.
I believe that chastity belt should only be normalized if it is between two consenting adults (How I want to wear chastity belt and want my partner to be a keyholder) and no parent should force it to their children. I believe any inequality / dpendence between wearer / keyholder has high likeliness of abuse.
Ines The problem is feminists have assumed that anything that sounds feminine is bad.
That’s absolutely not what feminism is about. I’m surprised at you.
hanna_anders That’s absolutely not what feminism is about. I’m surprised at you.
It is sad, but true, at least here, They are very concerned about TV programs that are liked by girls, toys, makeup, heels...
I do not know in your country but we have minister that is all the day with those nonsenses.
They want Everything that sounds like a woman has to be dismantled, starting with women's sports.
Ines The problem is feminists have assumed that anything that sounds feminine is bad.
These are type of “feminist” who also denies the existence of transgender because of that. They claim MTF transgenders try to emphasize “traditionally feminie” things stronger or make gender stereotypes worse, and mainstream feminists at least despise such kind of actions.
anything sounds feminie shouldn’t be forced, but not also be criticized just because it is perceived to be “feminine”
Lots of idiots under the umbrella of feminism. In Britain in particular, a quite vocal group is pushing the narrative that most trans women who have not had surgery are just men trying to sneak into women-only spaces like public toilets or something along those lines.
There are feminist causes I agree very strongly with, but there are also many that want to take it too far.
Ines I suspect thats a very small minority. Most feminists just want equality between men and women. I know thats not a popular idea around here, I certainly don't think I'm the same or as capable as a man in many ways, but if you're doing the same job you should get the same pay, that kind of thing.
hanna_anders But equal pay for equal work has been a reality in as far as I can see every western country. There is no western legal system that would allow otherwise. That would be the golden nugget for every lawyer if a woman would be paid less due to her gender.
hanna_anders if you're doing the same job you should get the same pay, that kind of thing.
This is a reality in Europe for decades. Pay different to employees making same work is a crime.
All depends on how well the people at the bottom end of the salary gap can document that they are being discriminated against by gender. In a union job with identical job descriptions, that will be a lot easier than a non-union job that hires them in different positions but gives them similar tasks.
Plus the fact that there are many jobs more commonly done by women that pay less than jobs with similar effort and responsibilities that are mostly done by men.
Joh You are wrong. The 18% is the gross overall income difference between the genders. This figure does not adjust for the „equal work“ variable. German Wikipedia explains that very well.
cantsolvethecaptcha But equal pay for equal work has been a reality in as far as I can see every western country
it should be, yes, but it isnt yet, thats why we have expensive law suits demanding backdated pay for women workers. It is illegal but the companies still do it.
