What would you need for a chastity-friendly culture?

Angelina if it happens on an involuntary basis you are right, but i always think of my hypothetical 15 year old daughter who after much deliberation decided to wear a belt. there is nothing to be said against that, we would only be constructing victimless crimes with criminalisation.

It's impossible to prove if it's really her free decision and it's more likely that it's not, so because of this it should be illegal.

well, i could argue now but that would be offtopic 😉 the main difference is that a driving licence is a free choice, sexuality develops automatically whether you want it or not.

youdontknowme I agree that we should not criminalize the vulnerable. Punishing a 14-year-old for acquiring a chastity belt is bad, no doubt about that, but nobody over 21 should have a hand in that. I believe all our suggestions on that issue revolved around adults knowingly providing minors with chastity cages, due diligence and stuff like that. And there is so much fun stuff that minors do not have access to because the state wants to protect them, whether they want that protection or not.

i am very divided on this. we should punish forced chastity, but encourage voluntary chastity, that would be the point of a CB friendly culture. in the example of my fictitious daughter, i also think of her unintentionally losing her virginity at 15, just because she was not allowed to wear a belt. i think as long as it is on a voluntary basis, the state should stay out of family matters.

Joh That is the government's job. And they have to balance between which is more important and has less influence on the long run.

It is the voters' job to define what the government's job is, and as far as I am concerned, they are already doing far too much to protect citizens (of any age) from their own bad choices. But that is not a matter for this topic, I just brought up those things to show there is precedent for government regulation denying minors access to stuff they actively want to try, and treating chastity belts as an adults-only thing even when they are not actively being marketed as sex toys would just be one more example in a long line of those things, rather than an unprecedented incursion into civil liberties.

I don't see why dildos and vibrators are age restricted. Their is no risk If they use it and develop their sexuality. Other things as well but with the CB I See a too big risk for forced wearing. And it comes from the parents to which they are depended on. Financely and emotional. This is the reasion I am strictly against for underage persons.

The difficulty with this is how easily something can be disguised as voluntary. I mean, you yourself say you are locked up against your will, yet you would not throw your father under the bus to get free.

I mean, I totally agree with you, people voluntarily choosing to protect themselves from their sexual urges should get all the help we can provide, but the sad fact is that we quickly run into complex situations where we cannot support voluntary use without also lending a hand to involuntary use.

It is easy to say "courts can decide" if you completely ignore the "how". Judges do not magically know the truth, they are just trained to consider and weigh evidence. Court proceedings are expensive. Getting evidence that points in favor or against consent is also expensive, especially if the victim does not cooperate with the prosecution (e.g. your own case). And even with all that, judges still make mistakes.

A belted lady should be able to shower at the gym or do other normal activities that may expose the belt without haing a stigma attached.

All these situation are based on a fetish (a sexual preference that is not mainstream) and nobody denies it, you can wear a chastity belt it is legal you should just keep it a personal thing.

Because it is seen as suppressing the woman. Probably because this is very often true and impossible to differ for foreigners. I wear a chastity belt myself 24/7. I am fully integrated in the society. Nobody is looking down on me because of the belt or see a lesser person in me. The solution is very easy. I don't show the belt in public.

that is why a court should decide in the case of minors. the family may file an application and then a judge decides whether the girl really acts of her own free will and is aware of the consequences. the whole thing is then regularly checked by a guardian from the court.

that's true, but it would still mean a higher level of safety, so i think we should at least give it a try. if the system fails, you can always ban belts for minors.

Angelina A few years ago, a group of young women went to work to develop a type of fabric wear clothing (shorts, underwear, etc. that could not be easily removed and was extremely cut and tear resistantl They called it AR wear (that is short for Anti-Rape wear. The idea was to wear it when going out to the clubs to prevent them from being raped or from making alcohol feuled bad decisions. They were able to raise funds to develop this stuff but once developed and apparently working as desired, they were shouted down by the rightous folks who demand that something be done to stop the agressor rather than "protect" the victim.

Sara2001 It is not that anyone necessarily wants to show their chastity equipment but here in the US it may be required. Due to the many problems with shootings many more places are using metal detectors to keep guns off their premises. It used to be airports, court houses, government offices, etc. But now even many nightclubs are "wanding" customers and if metal is tected they will want an explanation of some sort. Also because of a recent incident at the University, I expect metal detectors to get into building.

It just needs to be so the person can simply say "that is my steel chastity belt" and go on their way without snickers, laughs, etc.

bdsamm I am happy that I don't live in the US . Basically the only place with metal detectors here is the airport, at least from the places I would possibly go. I don't think courts have this here, not even thinking about clubs.

Luckily we have only such a small amount of weapons, that it's not necessary. We don't like to kill eachother.

Depends on the price. I accept the "panic" when it saves thousands and thousands of young girls from wearing a chastity belt against their will. Over the years I also lost this panic completely. I made the experience that people usually don't see anything or don't show any signs that they have seen anything. I think hiding the belt in public is not a big deal.

In this point I disagree a bit with you. I think that in the end, if the right social environment is created, the vast majority of girls would use the chastity belt, some because they believe that it is really the right thing to do, others because of fashion and some because the rest use it and do not want to be different.
I think that the forced use would be minimal, although I am sure that it would exist, in that you are right, and for this, as now, the authorities would be there, to deal with the abuses.

sorry, I understand your approach but disagree. I don't think it will save a girl from being involuntarily in a belt, those parents won't be put off by that, on the contrary it makes these girls live in constant fear of being caught too

Sara2001 Impossible to believe that there could be a situation where most girls want a chastity belt for themselves and that parents control their sexuality. This can't happen.

Never say never, I'm making a comparison to the corona situation even if it's not appropriate. things happened that we never thought possible because a majority thought it was good for society. why shouldn't wearing a chastity belt be similar to wearing a mask. if the majority thinks a chastity belt makes sense for society, many will wear one, maybe it will even be prescribed by the state. I don't want it like that, just like with corona, but it can happen
