So, you will be belted in your holidays but in exchange you will have a new car?
A lot of girls here have similar deals.
What is your fear exactly, @Jen ?

so i don't know what schoolies are so i'm a little confused as to what you had planned and why you should wear the belt there now. i understand if you do that you get your mum's old car.

can you please explain this again in simple english words, i really don't understand it unfortunately

Schoolies is an Australian tradition where final year school students after the last exam go on vacation together in groups. Places like the Sunshine Coast south of Brisbane are famous for that.
For the most part, this involves quite a bit of alcohol and, with self control then diminished, also frequently sex.

So no surprise her parents want her belted securely for that.

Hi all, sorry for the confusion - yeah schoolies is a big party for finishing school - year 12 students only! Need student ID! There will be thousands of us going. It's at the Gold coast. I've got 4 nights booked.
Didn't know it was only an Aussie thing

Ines What is your fear exactly

There is pool parties and beach parties and even just 4 days is too long

      Renita Planned first sex? 😃

      🧐 you're not serious yeah?
Nah I've got a room booked with friends which know, I'm just gonna manage the belt myself. Leave the key in the room - well planning to still gotta get the key or a new lock.

curious For the most part, this involves quite a bit of alcohol and, with self control then diminished, also frequently sex.

Yeah it is a thing - they warn us there are hundreds of pregnancies each year - but it's not just about that!

Jen I'm just gonna manage the belt myself. Leave the key in the room

As I understand your mom's intents, you are not supposed to have your key during this event

curious So no surprise her parents want her belted securely for that.

My parents would have done the same

Laura As I understand your mom's intents, you are not supposed to have your key during this event

Yeah but that's not going to work that's why it's all stuffed up

Jen Yeah but that's not going to work

Why? You can't spend few days in a locked belt?

            • Jen replied to this.

Jen I've never done 4 days. And never swimming at the beach

And, I'd never visited the doctor wearing a belt before either... but there's first time for everything with a belt!

Seriously, though, a bit more notice would have been nice. You could have at least got used to 4 day wear.

German by birth, Aussie by choice and living in Switzerland, because life does not always works out the way we want or plan.

Jonas no, no, no! Why you want it?! why you support her mother?

                You dont think it serious...

                  Jen

@Raquel and @Barbara have a cable belt, but I do not know if you have enough time.
Those belts are not very expensive.

Ines @Raquel and @Barbara have a cable belt

I thought about it but never asked. Do they work?
I think someone said they have to be very tight.

I'm actually thinking schoolies > car.

Jen I think someone said they have to be very tight.

They say it, but it works and for sure you can use it a bit loose.
They had it in few days.

Kaja On the one hand, that seems like an event where wearing the belt would be very useful. She is allowed to say no, but there is a decent reward for saying yes. On the other hand, it also gets in the way of chaste activities (exposing her belt to the masses, like most swimwear would do, is not something that should be expected of her) and it is an additional expectation on top of her original agreement that she is not given time to prepare for and weigh the pros and cons, or nehotiate alternatives for that matter.

I would say go to the party belted, but try to arrange a method that allows for you to enjoy the beach in daylight while still being protected at night. Maybe your mom will accept a compromise with tamper seals or something.

Kaja no, no, no! Why you want it?! why you support her mother?

It's not up to her mother, it's up to Jen to decide. On the one hand a big party away is a perfect time for a CB, but yes, of course, wearing a belt is going to change every single bit of the experience. It could mess the whole thing up for @Jen. I think finding suitable clothing is key. Once you can find shorts that reliably cover the belt, the whole thing would become much more do-able.

                        • Jen replied to this.

Jen I've never done 4 days

You still have time to try

Jen And never swimming at the beach

                          Wear shorts like @saras did

                          • Jen replied to this.

Jen it’s totally unfair that they sprung this on you with no warning. But think of it this way: your situation hasn’t changed substantially since before this offer. Your original plan involved doing schoolies without the belt, and then continuing your life without a car. The bribe adds a complicating factor but you’re free to choose to go on exactly as you have before.

The key question is, is the car being offered solely for wearing the belt those four days? Or is there an expectation for more permanent wearing afterwards in order to keep the car?
