Well you certainly have self-discipline getting into and staying in medical school, plus training for sports.

I've come to believe an important difference between your situation and mine is that you have a steady boyfriend and I do not. I'm certain I would not be able to resist giving in to a "steady", to use an old-fashioned term. In fact my plan is really not to try, once I think I have the right person.

Some people, in their desire to be heroes, create their own villains. The question is, who is the hero and who is the villain in this case. Is it a hero fighting for order and a villain for debauchery? Or a hero fighting for consent and a villain for oppression?

I think exactly the same. Nothing good will come of it. Either Monica spends the money for no reason or she forces her daughter to wear a belt.

The belt is arriving tomorrow, Jane has told me that. She said they are "going to take it slow", whatever that means. Jane is nervous, I know I was for sure and I think that is normal. AJ has talked a lot with Monica, at least a few times anyway to tell her to chill. We will see what happens. I told her to call me tomorrow night for an update.

I do agree with this, at least at the beginning, but now there is dialogue now so Jane doesn't feel quite so trapped. I know she is nervous about trying it. You are right about AJ, she was tough at first but she chilled later on and ultimately got what she wanted. I hope Monica does the same thing, but the circumstances and the urgency are way different.

I understand that Monica probably senses danger and wants to use her influence in a way she considers beneficial and urgently required (from her POV). However and as pointed out by several people already: Doing it this way is highly risky, prone to making relations worse, and even burn chastity as a whole.

She would do way better if she started with empathy and a belt for her self. If she could not resist ordering a belt for her daughter at this stage already, she could at least order both belts simultaneously. (And put her daughter's in a closet for the time being.)

This allowed self-experience and to get in touch, maybe by self-locking / time-based locking until a dedicated keyholder is found. While on the same hand working on the relationship to her daughter, in the meantime. This way would have improved the chances to convey chastity and protection as something positive, substantially.

Rude, "panic chastity" measures have marred too many peoples' attitude, already. Monica woud be well advised if she could refrain from that. For her own and her daughter's long-term good.

In general I think that if parents, - specially a mother-, have a chastity belt rule for the daughters and the mom does not wear a belt, in my opinion that woman is cheeky.
I know that in this forum there are moms and daughters in that position, but in my opinion is not acceptable.

Owl I agree with a lot of what you say here, aside from here getting a chastity belt for herself. i have had conversations with her several times about toning it down. If she is going to be successful she needs Jane to buy into wearing it. As Susan mentioned, the belt is arriving tomorrow. We will have to see how it goes.
