Tasha haven't really thought about when exactly, but I suppose once it's 'final' that I'll be marrying and spending my life with him, it makes sense to get out of the belt

and how do your parents see it? does it always have to be marriage, or is it also enough if you are seriously together with someone for a very long time and want to live with him, for example?

youdontknowme Traditionally, the wedding is only complete once the marriage has been consummated - i.e. the groom and bride have spent a night together with all that implies.

really? i always thought from the moment they both say yes and are officially married

Angelina I mean, sure, that is the point at which the couple is considered married, but a non-consummated marriage could be annulled (which is distinct from divorce in that the marriage is treated as if it had never existed) when the same was not possible for a consummated marriage.

Angelina different places different traditions and customs I suppose

Have you ever had to wear/undo a chastity belt while in a car? I had to today and it was super weird. Is there a way to do it without making it super awkward?

Why?: I had to go outside to a mall where there are metal detectors (its kind of common here). My parents of course didn't allow me to go freely, even though I went with them. We were in the car and they asked me and her to get the belt out. We were on the highway so it wasn't that embarrassing (no one will really look inside a car travelling at triple digit kph) but I had this thought of 'if I had to.. in a parking lot or somewhere people could see, how would I do it?'

When we were finished, I was asked to get the belt back on on our way back too.

We have a 7 seater MUV (2+3+2) , me and her sit on different rows, parents on the front row.

Angelina and how do your parents see it?

I suppose if it's serious and I plan to live with him, we could work it out, might need some convincing on my part - explaining why he is good.

If it doesn't work, I'll go ahead anyways. Can't be living under their words for the entirety of my life.

Tasha My parents of course didn't allow me to go freely, even though I went with them.

Why is this? Anyway I don't see a point to take off the belt in the car rather than at home

Tasha travelling at triple digit kph)

Do you live in Germany? 😂

Tasha but I had this thought of 'if I had to.. in a parking lot or somewhere people could see, how would I do it?'

        No tinted windows?

          Laura No tinted windows?

Banned. People do get them but the police fines. We aren't that rich 🙁

Probably a kind of power-trip on their end. I don't see any point in that either, but I do wish to know what can be done if I'm in such a situation

Laura Why is this? Anyway I don't see a point to take off the belt in the car rather than at home

            Good point.

Ines I agree it doesn't make much sense to me either. This is the first time it happened. I'm hoping for this to be a one time occurrence.

Laura Do you live in Germany?

India uses kph for speed. The newer highways are nice 👌 old ones are bumpy and riddled with potholes.

Laura But they are usually larger than 100 km/h on the motorways. That is only like 60 mph or so in American terms.

                  Laura

120 km/h here, on highways. 90 on standard roads.

Laura Most European countries are in the 120-140 range. Germany is the exception being limitless with 130 "officially recommended". 80-100 is common for rural roads not built up to motorway standards.

Laura 100 almost everywhere in Europe, but Germany

Restrictions in Poland on main intercity roads:
                  expressways - 120 km/h (75 mph)
                  highways - 140 km/h (87 mph)
Usually people drive "a bit" faster 😉

Laura we have speed limits. And traffic rules.

No one follows them unless there is a patrol car. People drive on the wrong side on highways, tuktuks pop out of no where.

Speed limits are 60-90kph (excludong expressways which are basically point to point roads connecting major cities, not common at all.) as far as I'm aware. Rural roads, we drive at 20-50 kph max, lots of people and animals that can pop out of nowhere.

As Andrew says, people drive a "bit" faster.

Laura I don't see a point to take off the belt in the car rather than at home

She might not be picked up/dropped off at home.

Tasha but I do wish to know what can be done if I'm in such a situation

Park at the far end of the parking lot, where people go rarely.

Tasha I'm hoping for this to be a one time occurrence.

Since you run your business, it's less likely you always stay home.

Laura Yes, I know it's around 65 mph. But where did you see more?

                  70 in Texas.

Renita Since you run your business, it's less likely you always stay home.

Currently running my business only needs a laptop and a internet connection. Perks of being in IT.

And if it's going to be on a business trip > a few days then I can't be belted. I need to clean myself.

youdontknowme I mean, sure, that is the point at which the couple is considered married, but a non-consummated marriage could be annulled

                      I admit, I didn't know that

Tasha I don't see any point in that either,

i don't see any logic in it either, if you get the belt off at home and then get straight into the car with your parents and immediately put the belt back on again at home, i don't see where you can cheating
