I think the long time risks after 24/7 wearing for a long time are much bigger then for woman. I think a men body kind of needs an erection from time to time to stay intact. Otherwise you risk to loose the ability to get an erection afterwards.

I know from misterpoll that Americangraffiti was not able to get en erection once he got free from the belt after long time wearing. I don't know if he can have sex now, but it was definitely for a long time where he was unable.
