Yes,you prefer to not have access to your keys too,but for very different reasons.Even if I haven't the same feelings,I can understand your,too.

In my case, my mother has keys, and spare keys are in a safe box in my parents study.

Exactly same my parents safe. And it is good way, it does not permit us any access to key, but if there is a true emergency, even without our parents we could manage it.

In our family my father has the main key. Spare keys are in a save, my brother knows the combination for emergencys.

My mother, sister and I don't have any access on our own.

Ines I like generous keyholders, but a responsibility of them is put our keys far of our range! 😂

Or know easily if we disobey.

In such case,no problem that I cut the locks.

Of cause, that's how it is in our family. In a REAL emergency my father or brother can still tell us the code for the safe but in the last decades such a situation never happened for my mother or us.

Prety logical. If I become in key holder some day, I would not let me persuade either.
