      Vanessa Initially I was supposed to wear the belt if I go outside or stay home alone. But I've broken this rule and got caught few times and she was tired from it. Also I stay home alone most of the time.

                  That's basically a curfew. That's not what I want. With the belt on I'm allowed to do whatever I wish and leave and come whenever I wish.

                              It's obvious what it is for. It's not like removing the belt for night time. I think any parent would say no in this case. I also have the separate Internet line in my room.

                                                      @Renita had own key, but, yes, that's pretty rare. And in my case it's impossible. Another question if they could unlock just a secondary shield if it was detachable. Not sure.

                                                        As the shield is detachable,I think there is no problem to unlock it.But I never wear my belt without it on,so not sure how it works precisely.
