Right.I checked,and yes,it is in Maslow's pyramid,and at the bottom of it(the most important needs)!

I get that you can survive without it, but I think there would be a big part of my life missing. Like I would be missing a lot of mental / emotional development and body awareness that comes with self care and intimacy.

Funny enough,"sex" is rarely mentioned in english pictures of it,while it is almost always written in the french pictures! 🤣

Sex is at the base of Maslow pyramid. While this as been criticised, in the author intention is definitively there. It’s a basic need. Sometime you will not see in the diagram, but it’s basically there

Also interesting to see that while sex is among physiological needs (with food and sleep), love, intimacy, are on the third level, so higher, where needs there are needs for belong.

In my opinion,third level is "relationship",and "one night stand" or masturbation would be in the first level,for example.
