As I said, I was being deliberately vague on the details. But these responses make me feel that I am not welcome here, and so I will cease from posting.

@BikelockFugitive It's fair to say while the details she did say weren't accurate, I do believe the core is true based on her clarifications.

Don't get me wrong; if I could get a belt lined with fibre-optic cable, tracked, and enforced by a court order, I would. I'm all about the security.
At the evidence, this is fiction.
I am sorry, but the us signed contract about human rights. This sounds absolutely impossible for me.
No court in the western world would ever be allowed to do something like that. I would think this could happen in Saudi Arabia or some country like this, but definitely not in the us.
i am sorry but i have never heard of it in general. i know there are countries where prostitution is punishable but a chastity belt that is court ordered hmmm.....
Laura With UK's IP however

well, in the US some states still have the death penalty, why this is not against human rights, but a chastity belt you would have to explain to me.
I don't think the story is true either, but if there is one democracy in the world that I would trust to do this, it is the US.

She did tell me that's not why she was asked to wear it, FYI.
My general point is in a lot of rural places, 'off the books' justice is very much a thing.

Yeah, this is sorta my point about the US not being a country by a Union of squabbling states.
By way of example of stuff that has come out of Utah: https://www.nytimes.com/2013/07/24/us/students-recall-a-school-run-like-a-prison.html
