can't you get trough parliament or Congress as you say the prohibition of insurers sponsoring circumcision? except maybe for Jews and Muslims

Then all you would have to say is that you are Jewish or Moslem and the law would be worthless.

Funguy You tell her that

If she doesn't know yet, you should tell her and then ask her to explain her position about your chastity, marriage, etc.

Renita You don't need 50 years for it, let's talk after 10 years.

and what difference would that make, maybe i'm more idialistic than you, but regardless of the belt, my marriage vows will only be given to someone i love. πŸ™‚

Funguy You tell her that 🀣

i told my strict christian grandma that i am in a relationship with a girl, i think you can handle that πŸ˜‰

Renita If she doesn't know yet, you should tell her and then ask her to explain her position about your chastity, marriage, etc.

interested, 2 minutes ago i disagreed with you, now i agree with you πŸ˜‰

    Renita

Somehow,in my case.I need the approval to date a boyfriend/girlfriend.

Funguy I think I will try to live with my bf asap and then just cut it off.

It would be the easier, and more logical, solution.

Funguy won’t let me see my sister.

She could disobey your mother and meet you if she wants.Or when she would live in her own too,at least.

Angelina , i would rather spend the next 50 years in the belt than marry someone i don't love

    Me too.

But mainly,I would choose to leave the house, even if it means breaking the relationship with my parents, than give up,and don't marry my girlfriend,if they wanted to forbid me to,or to make me marry someone else.

Vanessa But mainly,I would choose to leave the house, even if it means breaking the relationship with my parents, than give up,and don't marry my girlfriend,if they wanted to forbid me to,or to make me marry someone else.

I would probably act that way too, I have only compared these two alternatives

I know, but I thought the same about @Ines

Renita I know, but I thought the same about @Ines

Ah!!! Well OK, yes, sorry, I understood your statement in a more restricted sense.
Yes, of course, in my family, and a lot of families not only in the forum, the boyfriend must be accepted for parents.
But, later you can choose marry or not marry... I have a friend, not very close but friend at the end, who has a ex-boyfriend who is friend of her father. They did not have previous relationship....
I know is not very common but.... Your father has vote about your boyfriend, but you can not vote about his friends!
          πŸ˜‚. No fair!

Funguy Her answer was when I’m married to a woman she approves of...

Is it possible that she wants to prevents sex with girls explicitly?

Angelina I would probably act that way too

            Logical.

Ines a lot of families not only in the forum, the boyfriend must be accepted for parents.

Yes,I think it is pretty common;way more than using a chastity belt,at least!

Vanessa Yes,I think it is pretty common;way more than using a chastity belt,at least!

at least in conservative or very religious families, yes

              • Ines replied to this.

Angelina at least in conservative or very religious families, yes

No, I think that approval of parents can be more or less mandatory, but in general, specially at my age and earlier, it is not restricted only to conservative families.

                  Ines

that's why I wrote "at least", of course that doesn't exclude other families

                  Ines

Even if not necessary mandatory,I think too it is more common.

Several of my friends too had to have a potential boyfriend/girlfriend approved before dating.

Vanessa Several of my friends too had to have a potential boyfriend/girlfriend approved before dating.

only your friends from conservative families or also from more liberal families?

                      Angelina

                      From more liberal families,too.

Have you some friends who need such approval before dating a boyfriend/girlfriend,too?

Vanessa Have you some friends who need such approval before dating a boyfriend/girlfriend,too?

not as far as I know, but I assume that not everyone wants to talk about it openly. besides, it might depend on whether he/she is still a minor.

Angelina I assume that not everyone wants to talk about it openly

I think so.Only few of my friends know about this rule.

Vanessa .Only few of my friends know about this rule.

yes, in my case only very close friends know how it works (and only my best friend knows about the belt), the others found out at some point that i was in a relationship, but not any more.

Angelina only very close friends know how it works (and only my best friend knows about the belt)

                              Similar for me.

Angelina the others found out at some point that i was in a relationship, but not any more.

If I remember well, your present relationship is the first one you're allowed to have;so you had ones before and had to stop it when your father discovered it?
