Steel is bendy, especially in reasonably thin bands. Making such bands in the size of the wearer in question is a different challenge.

Was surprised about that, especially considering Barbie's figure, but it works out realatively well. Volume does scale with the cube of linear dimensions after all.

I am not sure proportional scaling addresses all structural concerns, like rigidity, tolerances and lubrication. However, the square-cube law might be in your favor in some of those regards.

Yes, the customer may be perfectly sane in the rest of life but when it comes to chastity any sense of reality is just gone. Even back then there were enough online calculators that they could have checked metal density and calculated an approximate mass for the belt. They could just have looked at the padlock they bought and thought this weighs 5kg and the belt will be several times heavier than that. They could even have just put on 6 or 8 adult nappies to simulate the bulk of it to see if they could hide it under clothes. But did they, no.

I have read about metal with memory effect. After it is bent and retains its shape, you heat it and it goes back to its old shape. It is apparently used as a replacement for discs. So the temperature can't be that high.

It could be keyed to use different keys than the belt. Looks like the belt uses single-sided pin-tumbler locks while the cover uses a two-sided wafer lock, so it is very unlikely one key would work for both. Which makes the butt cover no security downgrade, but giving the wearer the key of course limits its usefulness as a security upgrade as well.
Eliminating what is commonly referred to as the "poophole loophole" (see also: Garfunkel and Oates - The Loophole) without significantly impeding unsupervised long-term wear is perhaps one of the more difficult engineering problems in chastity belt design, and (to get back to topic) I am sure Mr. Tollyboy has some interesting stories about overconfident clients who believe that problem to be solved.
Today I woke up to a message asking if I could build a 42mm diameter permanent anal plug as part of a full metal torso harness. At least the customer can afford to pay for this item, has extensive experience of long-term effects, and is sane enough to know it would need a removable inner plug with a tapered top to make it possible to insert. As for a full torso cage made of barstock I assume they are looking at something like a woman's one piece swimsuit in general outline built out of a spiderweb effect of small round bar and somehow integrated with a chastity belt. I will await more details of the job with interest.

Yes, there are many who think this is not a problem. Take a two-inch medium wall thickness tube cut a thread on the inside to screw in a bung weld it to the back of the belt and call it good. Apart from the problems of how would you insert it with no tapered guide on the top to ease it into place, how are you going to deal with a permanently overstretched anal sphincter, why put threads on the inside of it where they will be harder to clean. etc. Anyone wanting to go this route needs to consider the possibility of permanent anal incontinence so even if you get over this fetish you might well be wearing adult nappies for the rest of your life or may need surgery to insert some form of an artificial sphincter. I have had lots who want this with no consideration of the consequences of it.
The only permanent anal plug that I have so far ever built and that I know works is made of half-inch bar and is turned much like a dumbbell. There is a half-inch ball on the end that is inserted the stem is small so causes effectively no stretching about 4mm as I remember and there is a ball on the other end that is drilled through and soldered to the rear cable of an FGA/200 belt. Round end to avoid cutting or tearing anything, very small shank to avoid stretching anything, not removable but not I imagine the cleanest thing to use. Would I think almost certainly need a bidet for washing?
The purpose is to be just big enough to serve as a reminder it is there and to prevent any attempt at moving the cable sidewards to perhaps allow some anal stimulation. I have no idea if it actually works but then I rarely get feedback.

There has been a suggested solution to that. I don't think anyone has ever built it but it was suggested to me that the supermarkt have shopping trollies that are tethered by chains to the wall or to each other you insert a euro and it releases. Could I not adapt this mechanism to the rear of a belt so that there is a short tether behind the toilet. You sit down and clip this tether into place this anchors you to the chain and releases the back of the belt. When you are finished clipping the back of the belt closed releases the chain and you can again move freely.
I don't know how the mechanism works, clearly what is on a trolley is too bulky and you are limited to toilets fitted with the appropriate locking tether so basically only at home or perhaps friends places who don't mind having a chain screwed to the wall. You could of course take a tether end with you when you go out but it defeats the purpose of it.

of course, but my father, if he wanted to do it, he would do it seriously and that means he would worry (sounds complicated, but it's all theoretical) about what i do in public toilets.
thanks for the idea, it's very interesting but probably a bit too complicated for everyday use and if you don't know how to build something like that i doubt other manufacturers do.

I read in a story a similar idea but is also only working in that building. With a key on a medium long chain she could open the back. The key would stuck in as long as it was not locked again.
If she is not leaving the house it would work but otherwise not. Nevertheless is was only fantasy.
