what is your opinion on replacing prison sentences with chastity sentences? So someone who gets 5 years in prison would get 5 years in a chastity belt instead. The question arises above all in relation to pure sexual offences

NO! That would not work out. Maybe it could be part of therapy for people who aren't restrained.
It could definitely help a few women to slow things down and think twice and decide not to get pregnant with a drug addict. Those have been problems with people in places with Meth and Opiod.
Just redoing the hallways and doors would probably prevent half of the times men rape each other.

I think there is hypocrisy. In the end I think that neither parents nor boyfriends nor husbands like their girls to do things.

I've thought about it again and try to formulate something simple.

Husbands have the right to demand that the wife wears a chastity belt, the wife has to accept this if the husband has informed her before the marriage. he can sue later in court if the wife does not fulfill her marital obligations or is unfaithful.

Parents can apply to the court for the daughter to wear a chastity belt, but they have to justify it well and have it approved by a judge, and there is also supervision by an official authority that checks that the parents are not abusing the power

what do you think of it and do you have any ideas how to make it more concrete?

I think more or less the same. I think that if it were legal, initially a majority percentage of society would wear a chastity belt for their girls.
Of the percentage of girls in families who didn't think it was necessary, many, in the end, would end up using it because of peer pressure, not wanting to be the class bitch, or the office bitch, and the like.
In the end the law has to say that it is legal to keep single girls with a chastity belt and who should be the keyholder who can do it.
Are you single, you don't want to wear a belt but your, for example, father makes you have one? All legal.
Do you wear a belt, your keyholder, for example, never opens it and Your have to suffer from chafing or lack of hygiene? There are already laws that allow reporting abuse regardless of whether chastity belts are used or not.

Ines The problem with such a law is that it hands control of adults over to other adults, and I’m not sure that’s something we really want happening. It formalizes a group of second-class citizens who are dependent on their keyholders. What about women who would want to opt out of the system, but their legal keyholders want them to stay in the belt? What would the the priority order of keyholders if they had no living parents? Would women be permitted to keyhold or would it be strictly about men controlling women? And would single men be subject to being locked up?

If the law not only allows, but requires, it is different.
Probably most of the population complied with the law, the majority for agreeing, and the rest, in the end because it does not force anything bad either.

Don't worry it isn't happening although there are some people who have used it as a therapy and it helped them avoid behaving badly with drug addicts and them maybe being in a terrible place!
So whenever it goes to that it will be therapy not prisons like women have now.

Without a doubt, it is something that I personally do not think is good, or not exactly so.
About those girls who do not want to, but their keyholders do, it is clear that they would have the law against them.
Although I think that, at least in a very substantial part, it could be successful because I think that many fathers and husbands would take advantage of that.
Currently, chastity only works because it is voluntary, I don't believe the horror stories, but in that scenario, without consequences, I would probably have to start believing many scary stories. If we girls lose the protection of willpower, we are lost.
The list of possible keyholders, who are the ones who can ultimately force the girl, would appear hierarchically in the law.
I would probably put: husband, father, mother and brother.
I do not understand or share the concept of male chastity, so they would only serve as a keyholder.

I suspect that the main reason we don’t see widespread interest in chastity on that side of things is that they thinks belts are either a myth or big unwieldy medieval chunks of metal.

I will confess it’s an interesting social simulation experiment for the reasons you mention. How many would do it out of social pressure? Probably a lot. How many adult women would barely be on speaking terms with their families over belting? Also a lot. But then, how many women would have to stay in contact with family members they hated because they hold the keys? I have met a lot of older, very traditional parents who would be thrilled to maintain that level of control over their adult single or divorced daughters, and would be very pleased to know that their husbands had chastity rights.

What happens to Lesbian marriage? Do they get to be each other's keyholders?
It might be used as a loophole by two friends. I guess if the law says chastity belts can be forced then gay marriage would be banned.

Jen I think you’d see a LOT of “marriages of convenience” between friends to escape the belt. But even then, women would be giving a lot of trust to their friend that he wouldn’t take advantage of the power it gives him.

American culture gives men way too much power over sexuality already. I’d dress what would happen if men and parents — the literal essence of the patriarchy — had such legal control over all women.
