Good thought. I have to worry about the bottoms though, not the tops. I'm too flat on top to show too much but the bottoms are a problem. In my father's day girls did not show much at all down there. Now they are cut way low in front and many show most or all of your bum. So in order to pass Dad's inspection I have to buy at least a 3" wide thong. I know pretty much what he wants tho so I figure he'll let me wear what I bought.

You don't have to push it that far if you don't want to.
Guys will know you are a woman if you wear the entire pant and then you might be more comfortable.

you should not only do this for your father, but also for yourself. you are a woman as a whole, no one should reduce you to just your body, you can also be pretty without being slutty
