HHelen Based on my own experience you do need to wear a secondary shield even if it's detachable.
apart from the safety aspects, about which we probably have different opinions, the secondary shield is also important for wearing comfort, so that nothing gets squeezed.
Megan Everyone makes a big to do on and on and on about the 2nd shield as though it were a plot against women but the truth is it is needed to stay comfortable.
