That was surprising.I think an emergency key is used for emergency whenever it happens

Kaja Abortions are totaly OK for me. If I will be pragnat now I will go to one for 200 %.

i don't think it's right to say that. i'm not against abortion in general, but you should consider that it's not only your body that you decide about.

sun I think most of you should have an emergency key in your wallet.

In my opinion, this does not meet the definition of an emergency key, which should also only be accessible in emergencies.

Then it becomes a decorative lock, like a fashion item.

I mean, the emergency key could be tamper-sealed, but in this case you might as well have a non-locking fastener and a tamper seal on the belt itself. Basically, if the wearer comes home with a broken seal, they better have a good explanation why the belt had to come off.

Lock+key still has the advantage of potentially warding off drunk tomfoolery or pushy dates a bit more effectively than a belt with just a seal.

well, there should always be at least a small barrier and a mechanism to make sure that the key holder always knows when the emergency key is used. this can be done with seals (envelope or similar), or with number codes on ... something that only the key holder knows.

HHelen double tamper seals on the belt and the key with regular inspection of both should make that option extremely dubious. "Yeah, somehow that seal on the key container got damaged, which swept the key into the lock, turned it and removed the belt."

But yeah, designing a good seal is somewhat of a balance between making it easy enough to break intentionally in an emergency, but hard enough to break itself inadvertently.

That's why I use both key and seal.

For daughter's belt or your own one, as well?

Off-Topic: You do currently wear yourself, don't you?

Owl It is like those emergency room appointments where some dude was just innocently cleaning his apartment naked and unexpectedly fell off the ladder and butt-first onto a coke bottle

well, when using a seal, i would proceed in such a way that if it breaks by mistake, i immediately contact the key holder and explain what happened, then one can usually prevent misunderstandings

                Hers.

Owl You do currently wear yourself, don't you?

                I do.

Angelina and why not also with your own belt? 😉

I am certain Helens is fine. Are you asking why she doesn't seal the keys or ?

@HHelen elen is doing the best she can, she is serious about her daughter's regimen but not strict, and from the point she is wearing a belt herself her position is very solid.
In some cases I did not agree with her very much, but in general her attitude is acceptable.

She is doing well I think.,
