Max9 You would be surprised how quickly you could guess the combination. 4 digits =10000 possibilities. Say 3 sec a guess probably shorter you could guess every combination in about 8 hours 20min.

I can always text or call if there is some kind of emergency where I must remove the belt. But I have some luck because this has never happened. But now I am a little concerned. Has anyone had to remove their belt in an emergency before? And I mean a real emergency not just some discomfort or small mess.

Philip it is an electronic key safe that they key holder can send a code for in the case of an emergency.

that's a good idea, but i think an envelope sealed and signed by the key holder is secure enough.

Max9

you are right and i admit that my system is not ideal either, especially when i am out and about.

Max9 a combinarion lock usually has 4 digits. That's an increadible high amount of possible codes, no chance to guess them.

perhaps a combination lock with 6-10 digits attached directly to the belt? then you can call the key holder in an emergency and free yourself immediately.

Angelina a signed sealed envelope would work just as well I guess. A 6 digit combination would take about 5 weeks of continuous guessing to crack it. 10 digits would take longer than about 12 lifetimes to break.

Oh yeah it increases BIG with each new setting

In my house on campus I had a safe to which I had a key but no code.
I could open it, but if I did, an SMS was sent.

Raquel ah right fair enough so close enough if there was the need to let out in a short notice.

Raquel I could open it, but if I did, an SMS was sent.

Where would a SMS be sent from? Being a techie, you could bypass it easier

Philip 10 digits would take longer than about 12 lifetimes to break.

hmm... i think that would be safe enough for my father 🤔 😂

PS: has anyone actually read about such a chastity belt, i.e. a chastity belt with a combination lock, if so where?

Angelina perhaps a combination lock with 6-10 digits attached directly to the belt?

They are easy to break. As I mentioned in another topic, I would prefer an electronic lock

But you can guess them due the nature of the mechanism

Angelina i.e. a chastity belt with a combination lock

            Nobody wants it

Angelina might be a good idea to change the combination lock every day of the year. That would take it above 4k years.

Laura They are easy to break. As I mentioned in another topic, I would prefer an electronic lock

easier than a normal padlock with a key? i doubt it.

                Laura Nobody wants it

i think if it were designed securely, there would be a high demand, especially among people like us, because then the discussion about the emergency key would be solved.

that's what my father would do, but i'm all about principle. i have an emergency system, but admittedly it could be better. with a number combination i would only have to send my father a whatsapp and he could give it to me within a minute.

Angelina PS: has anyone actually read about such a chastity belt, i.e. a chastity belt with a combination lock, if so where

I would imagine that it would only take a fairly minor modification on belts that are fastened with a padlock.

Getting a compact padlock with more than 4 digits is abit more challenging, though.

Angelina Or you can have the number in some seal envelope in your wallet. So it wil be safe for 100 % (everybody can see that your broke the envelope) but you can react instantly, offline, ... - when you need.

Kaja if I had an envelope with the key in it I would try and learn some clandestine skills to open it without looking like it had been tampered with.

Philip Well, you have not to use envelope but "evelope". So I think that must exist elegant solution.

For example the best way will be the same technology like scratchcard 😀 - you will win freedom. But I know that you can not make it at home...

Angelina easier than a normal padlock with a key?

                          Yes, in my opinion

Angelina because then the discussion about the emergency key would be solved.

An electronic lock is even better. They can tel you an access code

                            Raquel

Angelina perhaps a combination lock with 6-10 digits attached directly to the belt?

yeah, but that would be pretty big for the belt. Not able to be hidden under the clothes.

How about a keysafe with a password? Or a remote keysafe via Bluetooth Tethering? Like that the keyholder only can open the safe with his cellphone.

Kaja yea making one of those would be pretty difficult.
