Abus EC75 is pretty good as padkicks go. Not as good as radial but Neosteel does not use those.

I love my belt (most of the time), and I would NEVER want trap pins in it.
If I ever go to a locksmith for help, it will be because multiple bad things have already gone terribly wrong, and I wouldn't want anything else to make it worse.

i like the design
My acrylic dome shield arrived a month ago. Optics aside, the main reason I prefer it is that the opening in the primary shield is 5 mm wider than the opening that comes with the metal dome shield. All of my labia majora can fit through better so the dome cups my vulva more comfortably.

At my request, for the reason I outlined above. I am not wholly without power in my family dynamic, especially as I get older. And if I am going to be belted, I am going to seek as much comfort as feasible. It is not the first time I have requested physical modifications.

To me, it actually seems less restrictive that I get to see her and say 'Hi' every morning.

Glad to hear. I feel like what you often hear about families with extreme views is how a feeling of powerlessness on the offspring's side is considered a feature, not a bug. I am happy to hear that despite your less-than-consensual situation, your agency as a person is respected.

If it was your idea, it definitely makes sense. But looking at Fancysteel's product catalog, that thing kinda leaves an impression of "the porn belt". FS produces a lot of adult entertainment media, so in that context it makes it feel like the clear shield was, at least as far as FS is concerned, not so much designed for the wearer's viewing, but for more voyeuristic purposes. Which seems somewhat antithetical to the modesty enforcement that more traditional shields provide (and that seems much more in line with conservative values)
But yeah, anxiety handling seems a lot more valid than that.

I mean, I would assume touch is part of any proper cleaning regimen, and it is more the type and duration of touch that is restricted. But that is just a side note, the key difference I see is that in the case of a hygiene unlock, the exposure is just a side effect of technical necessities to get that area clean, while for the clear shield, it is a deliberate design choice.
Also, I sincerely hope that anyone who is forbidden from masturbating for an extended period of time gets hygiene unlocks more often than permission for... ahem... recreational touching of those areas.

Ever since I lost my unsupervised release privileges, I have been making a rousing argument for having the right to full bodily autonomy. Namely, to use all parts of myself for all purposes for which they were designed, including pleasure, and to share that pleasure with whomever consents to do so. Now I realize that is an extreme counter position, even for mainstream parenting standards. But I'm hoping to negotiate it down to 20 minutes in the bathroom with my electric toothbrush once a week. Sometimes a girl needs to really just focus on her dental hygiene, you know? All I need to devise is a reason it has to be done completely in the nude.

Depending on your age, I would not call that extreme. It would be quite radical to expect them to be happy about it, sure, but if you are too old for strict curfews, "begrudgingly tolerate while voicing disapproval" is a perfectly normal parenting approach. Once again, your reluctance in revealing anything about your age makes it hard to contextualize your posts.

Dental hygiene is just a part of body hygiene, and taking care of that typically requires full nudity. That is the whole reason bathrooms have locks, so you can take care of all your body's hygiene needs even if you are modest about nudity, without anyone disturbing you.
It makes complete sense. Take off your clothes, take off your belt, use the toilet, clean your dirty body in the shower, take care of your grooming needs, clean your dirty teeth and... clean your dirty mind. Just a complete hygine package that certainly has to involve both complete nudity and an electric toothbrush.
