Ines The Problem is that the world is not only black or white but has infinite shades of grey in between. Because we know nothing about their parents or mother especially how liberal or conservative they are, it's really hard to tell if it's a fairy tale.
We have heard other stories that hardly anyone found suspicious just because she was an adult but her adult daughters were also in the CB. But it was a fairytale and what an incredible one.

I have some doubts so far but not to the extent that her story is not true. I think we can watch it critically and see what else comes to make a decision.

I think I do not deserve lessons like that. Such story is pretty usual so, allow me be skeptical. I have responsibility as moderator, and think in how many forums could you talk this way with a mod.
I am tired of stories like that, tired, specially in new users tide as we have now.

There seems to be an influx of people who claim to have a BDSM relationship with their parents lately. And it is a common trope in erotic fantasies: Parents found out about the chastity device and take possession of the key. Usually a boy, since with penis cages it is usually easier to get one that is suitable for multi-day wear in secret, but not always.

Personally, I think there is little harm in extending the benefit of doubt to everyone, since they might actually be stuck in a situation where they need help. But also, with roleplayers, they either get bored or the stories get spicier and spicier, and calling them out usually helps that the former takes place. And finally, we do not want real-life wearers to take advice from people who claim to be in the same situation, but have never experienced it except in their fantasies, while stroking their... egos.

Ines I am sorry that you feel attacked. I considered my comment as a general contribution and did not have you personally in mind. I apologise again for referring to your fish fakts.
You are doing a good and balanced job as a moderator and I did not mean to criticise you in any way.

For me, a wake-up call is the occurrence of the following events in history:
1) the author declares that he (she) is a minor,
2) is forced against his will to wear a belt by his parents or guardians but does not take real action to free himself,
3) wearing a chastity belt is a punishment or consequence of some misbehavior (sexual or not) or to correct its effects or to improve academic performance,
4) the user tries to artificially maintain his topic, presenting "updates" of his story on an ongoing basis, sometimes even adapting it to the "expectations" and suggestions of other users,
5) most willingly focuses on his own violent experiences (because they give him the greatest pleasure),
6) regardless of the topic, he is mainly limited to reporting his experiences, he is unable to present more general conclusions,
7) there are extremely improbable themes in his story,
8) he falls into contradictions in his relations.

The more of the above points appear in the user's activity, the greater the probability that it is a person who only presents his fantasies, not real experiences.

And one more thing. Based on my own experience of working with young people, I sincerely doubt that a minor who has been abused actually seeks help on this forum. It is too "specialized" and at the same time it can be perceived as an erotic forum.

Finally, a caveat. Even a court with extensive evidence can make mistakes. All the more, a mistake may occur when assessing on the basis of reports published on the forum. However, this does not release either moderators or users from a sober assessment of the published content.

Renita Yes, we do also have a surprising number of females in same sex relationships under lock, and the number of underage beltings reported here should actually alarm child services around the globe (although I do have my theory on that, but it's only a theory), but the problems are:

1. Given that we have really no statistics how many chastity belts are in use, it's hard to give a probability. And technically even events with a probability 0 can happen, they are just less probable than that all the forum members winning their local lottery (including the ones that don't buy tickets).

2. The question is always do similar people attract similar people. Fact is this forum is one of the few places where you can discuss CB usage in fairly civilized non-sexualized environment on the Internet. Actually, AFAIK, the only one English-speaking one, and the German language one is already much broader, e.g. while they are welcoming to everyone, that also includes openly kinky user. Due to that I'm not mentioning the name or url of that site here, sigh, not sure what @Laura 's policy on that is.

3. Funny discrepancy, BTW, on the German site it's dogma that female chastity belts are basically not capable keeping females from masturbation, and are not really safe for long term wear. Somehow this is in open contradiction with the ladies here, or it's just that they were measured so much better?

4. But yes, in the end, the Internet is anonymous, at best pseudonymous. This is not the 1990s and the university chat channel where a clever IT person could unmask all the locals pretending to be somebody else. (And even then, it was more often the boyfriend/girlfriend of the account holder using that account to chat, while waiting for their better half, Internet access in the 90s was way less universal) Trust is usually build up over time. And analyzing their behavior, etc. E.g. take our newly wed. @Angelina Assume that you know nothing, because technically, we know about that entity not much beyond what she posted here, plus on the previous Mr. Poll thread, plus the fact that some users might have interacted with the entity via email.
   What exactly could be his/her motivation to tell as a fantasy over 5 years? Money, nope, @Laura is not monetizing this site, so this is not "content" to get eyes on the site.
   So that leaves us with assumption (as in high probability) that @Angelina is real and stand alone from @Laura. Is it a fantasy? Probably not, because the site is rather somber.

5. But even if the members here would register with their electronic IDs (not all EU MS have them yet, AND outside the EU it's more like "look into your web cam and show your regular ID", which makes me wonder when somebody will realize that algorithms/generative AI can trivially modify the stream from your external USB webcam to show whatever you want.), that still prove nothing about the use of CBs, living conditions, and so on, so that would be pointless. So the old fashioned "think and engage your brain, potentially google some stuff" technique is the best we have.

George I mean, I doubt anyone here thinks the regulars are characters provided by the forum for readers' entertainment. But what is quite realistic is that at least some of the things regulars here tell are a bit embellished. Maybe people exaggerate their situation a bit, or report the roles they are playing as if they were a true story, not play. Maybe people who started posting fictional stories for a cheap thrill grew to enjoy the community, but could not come clean without jeopardizing their relationship with it.

I do not think we should take any report we see here as evidence that the exact things described in it are actually happening. But the ones that are completely removed from reality usually tend to get bored quickly, or tell tales so tall they are completely unbelievable. Anyone who has stuck around for weeks deserves at least the benefit of doubt.

And as for identity verification, that would probably catch the older not-so-gentlemen roleplaying as young women, but that says nothing about whether the rest of their experiences is genuine while also scaring off a whole lot of legitimate members.

youdontknowme I agree. The people looking for a thrill get bored pretty fast. And tend to be a bit over the top, like going 24/7 from the start or a custom belt suddenly being available to wear.
