Purpose of preventing masturbation?
Kaja Um. I like it
why should it only work for boys ?
Kaja Sex is for people basic need like sleeping, eating, ...
i don't agree, there are many people who can live without sex. without eating and sleeping it is difficult.
Max9 No, it isn't. UWC is the best evidence that you can also live without sex
Right...
Angelina I don't know if it's healthy
Many studies tell it's healthy.
Kaja have you ever try to outwit your belts with stimulation of "second hole"
Tried a bit,but I don't like it much...And can't orgasm this way.
Angelina i am very careful with the saying "all experts say so", because the question always has to be asked, who are all of them? are they really experts?. i would say the majority agrees with you, but not all of them
There is way more studies telling it's healthy than the opposite, however.
I agree.One of the reasons,at least.
Max9 because women have no prostate
ok, apparently I didn't pay enough attention in biology because I don't really know what that has to do with it.
Vanessa There is way more studies telling it's healthy than the opposite, however.
as I said, I don't dispute that, I just don't like the term "all say".
Angelina personally prefer not to use the term "all say" but of course that is just my personal opinion
The medical literature is clear on this. Self care is a natural process with a range of benefits and it should not be considered harmful or shameful. Of course it can be done to excess and that can have issues, but if a healthcare professional is telling you masturbation is bad, then they probably graduated decades ago, and they need to update their education.

I am certainly not against abstinence, I am on a chastity forum after all. If YOU (not your father, YOU) choose to abstain that's great! More power to you. But you can't pick and choose what you believe just because it fits in with your viewpoint. That's not how knowledge or science works.
By all means, prevent masturbation if that works for you. But can we please stop framing it as something bad or shameful that must be avoided at all costs. It's not and it isn't.
Sin But you can't pick and choose what you believe just because it fits in with your viewpoint.
that's more what you do, because ....
if i were to find a scientific study that disproves this, your argument would be wrong. i agree with your OPINION, but it is and remains an OPINION (even if it is shared by many).
Sin But you can't pick and choose what you believe just because it fits in with your viewpoint.
Also as "health care provider" now retired, I find myself in agreement with most of what you say; (and I did actually graduated over four decades ago ).
I would only disagree with the quote above. Picking and choosing what you believe because it fits your viewpoint is basically how humans are wired. Evolution has seen to that. Most of humanity does it. It may not be science (though to be honest a large proportion of the "science" carried out by scientists isn't very scientific either - witness that most journals succumb to massive amounts of confirmation bias), or the way knowledge is ascertained. If picking and choosing makes people comfortable, does no harm to others then why not.
From personal observations (which doesn't seem to contradict the literature) I know that masturbation is is pleasurable and does not cause long term harm. Even continuous masturbation while pleasurable is self limiting and loses its appeal after a while. Enforced abstinence for a period tends to increase the pleasure when the period ends whether release is via masturbation or from sex play with a partner. This is why chastity belts can be a useful sex toy that ironically increase sexual pleasure.
There are of course many ways to abstain. Chastity devices, especially when controlled by a loving partner are just one such method. What one decides to pick and choose as to why they submit to these devices, is thus irrelevant. Science be damned!
