HHelen Aside from the obvious circumstance of marriage, what are the situations in which a parentβs belting authority ends, in your view? I donβt get the impression that Laura, for instance, relies on her parents for financial support, yet at her age she remains locked by her parents and my guess is that the only real reason she accepts the belt is in order to please them. (Which is admittedly a powerful motivator, but I donβt think they have any moral standing to demand she remain belted.)
