I would argue that most of the belt manufacturers have always been more about the fetish aspects. Well, except for those who consider them mostly a fashion accessory. And even then it is often fetish fashion. I doubt preserving any sort of purity has been a priority for any of them. As much as you are asking this question, people in the fetish community ask why the members of this forum are talking about parents locking their children into sex toys.

i agree with you but look at it from another point of view. if the manufacturers didn't do this, then maybe they wouldn't exist anymore and you (someone who really wants a chastity belt) wouldn't be able to buy a belt because there are no manufacturers anymore.

Might be a bit of a misunderstanding here, I was talking about a parent/offspring relationship, not about pre-pubescent wearers. People who are familiar with chastity belts as BDSM implements are usually also horrified to see a keyholding arrangement between parents and their adult sons and daughters

If they think about the belt as a sex toy, (it is OK I do not agree but I do not make criticism), it is obvious that they are shocked, but belt has other dimensions, and I dare to say that probably "standard" use was prior to "kinky" usage.

This is a bit difficult. I see it both ways really - like its serious - but also I avoid anything sexy when I'm not wearing so when I do lock it... yeah.

are we really still at the point where we have to consider it a sex toy? sorry but this bothers me a lot, this forum should be the best proof to everyone that there is serious chastity. if parents think it's a sex toy they are wrong that's just not what it does.

Angelina The members of the forum might not, but the outside world is much larger than this forum. And each side would consider their use the proper one. I am just saying that it might be hypocritical for you to proclaim their use improper while complaining about them proclaiming your use improper.

As far as I am concerned, both uses are equally valid and may have overlaps. Whether you consider a chastity belt a sex toy or a tool depends on how you use it, it is not intrinsic to the belt itself.

yes i admit that i might be a bit too harsh, but after such a long time in the belt my feelings might be a bit crazy. i think i have to learn that people would not take the belt seriously, even though it makes me angry. sorry for my freak out

There is a scene in which servants puts drinks and attend the party in chain and, apparently, other harnesses. In that case I think it's more of a depiction of colonialism more than kinks or real chastity.
While I did not see so clearly the harnesses to attest the belting, I suggest to check around one hour and five minutes into the movie.
The scene is recognizable since it is supported by the 5th Hungarian March which many can remember from the barber shop shaving scene of Chaplin.

On that IMDB results I see some anime, although none of them are ones I'm interested. Also I can see that many media actually depict chastity belt as something more related to sexual fantasies...

i saw a court show a few days ago where a father put a chastity belt on his daughter. i almost had to laugh because the thing looked very uncomfortable but also very unsafe. a father had stolen it from a medieval castle. which is extremely unrealistic.

I guess if they had to spend their days in some psedo-medieval decorative props, even the more willing wearers here would take their keyholders to court over it.
