  • Potential Improvements if Chastity Belt Becomes Mainstream

Ines it's impossible unless it becomes a trend, and in this case, it will be an item of fashion, but probably without the lock. In the past, sometimes fashion borrowed from bondage world, but fashion items did have not the closing or restraining elements. They are just for show, not the real items. The real one (for example, a collar locked with a padlock) will not be acceptable in a lot of environments. Same for chastity belts. If created just for fashion maybe, but the real thing will surely be looked at badly. It will be very divisive, a lot of arguments will kick on, and the purpose will disturb a lot of people. Even if you remove the parenting part, in the collective imagination a belt is the flagship of patriarchy. I can't even imagine an item that speaks more about patriarchy than a chastity belt.

Of course, but I say that Into a society where belts become mainstream, - not fashion clothes inspired by-, is for force a society that widely accepts it, - I am not saying that that point is close-, so a society where conflicts about it will be few.

WriterAlexis Now that I think about it, I did see some pictures of a German woman in a belt on a nude beach. Linking it would be highly inappropriate, though.

Most nude beach goers would frown upon that. For one, she would appear rather clothed in most belts; plenty of bikini bottoms out there that show more. Second, it would be perceivef as a sex toy (and probably is if she flaunts it like that), which is as inappropriate on nude beaches as it is on clothed ones. Maybe moreso, since nudists do not like getting lumped in with the publix sex play people.

Sure, but I doubt many of our members appreciate voyeuristic photos being traded here.

Having never been to one, it was my understanding that nude beaches are "clothing optional." As in a large number of people are still clothed.

Despite currently living on an Atlantic coast state, the closest one is several hundred miles away.

Yeah, the clothed state is less critical than the perception of the belt as a toy.

Public nude beaches are generally more clothing-optional, yes, but unless you are in a group that includes people wearing less clothing than would be accepted on clothed beaches, people are going to question your motivations for choosing that part of the beach. Now, women usually get some slack when wearing bottoms, for a mix of biological reasons and the fact that not every clothed beach allows topfree sunbathing (not sure what the norms in France are like there). But people who visit a designated nude beach fully clothed do run the risk of making people uncomfortable. Large numbers of people being clothed on a clothing-optional beach is usually a sure sign that nude bathing is dying in that area.

In that case, I probably used the wrong terminology. Such places where nudity is mandatory don't exist in the US. Most US beaches do not allow toplessness for women. (Strangely, for men it is allowed, despite having remarkably similar nipples.)

WriterAlexis Even in specifically "nudist resorts", nudity is not mandatory. I was once asked to be a "plus one" for a friend going to her father's birthday party. It was only when we were on the way to the party did she tell me that it was going to be at "Sunshine Acres" and I should not be surprised that most of the people would be without clothes but I should not feel any pressure to be naked myself. It was an interesting day

Make a poll and we will know it for sure. Otherwise it is only a assumption.

I am sure many people, even among those here, enjoy photos of beautiful girls in nothing but a chastity belt. But there are better places to exchange them than this forum.

It depends on the particular place. Policies can range anywhere from "clothing optional" to "nudity required whenever sensible" - nobody is making you undress in cold weather in any reasonable place, for example. How closely that policy is followed is another matter, if you are a newcomer visiting a long-standing member... no wait, long, standing members are not appreciated there... a well-established frequent patron possibly belonging to the club that runs the place, you can often get a bit of leeway even if the policy states something else.

to write something again on the original topic. I wonder if chastity devices go mainstream, what would they become mainstream as? As protection in a marriage/relationship from one partner cheating on the other? As an educational tool for parents? As a measure of the state (chastity belt laws)? Or as a means of self-protection from attacks? That would perhaps be a very interesting discussion about which of these scenarios would be most likely?

Or a reaction to the current status quo.

Not that I believe it would happen. This thread is by nature speculative.

Angelina My assumption would be they’d go mainstream as either a protective measure, used or even encouraged to be used by women. Or as an evolution of feminism, ie if a guy isn’t in one women won’t even talk to them.

But once they become accepted by the mainstream I’d foresee lawmakers taking advantage of it, implementing them instead of prison for various crimes.
This would most likely lead to a rebellion against this system before to long.
So it may be better that they aren’t mainstream

Pretty sure both of these are the premise of many a fetish story.
