Avery My daughter took on the responsibility of watering the neighbors plants while they wer e on vacation. When they came home their house had been robbed and their Porsch stolen. On questioning by the police, my daughter admitted she let her boyfriend in the house and went with him in the Porsch. In fact she threw some of the ladies jewelery out of the window as they drove. I did not know whe had even left my house. She took the screen off a bedroom window and crawled out there. I found that later.

The lawyer said since she was a "step" daughter, I had no liability in the matter. I did ask how I could prevent such a thing. Could I chain here in her room?       I wonder if it could depend on where in the country you live. Massachusetts, where I live, is very liberal (Kennedys, Elizabeth Warren) and politically correct. If you literally chained her here I would bet Channel 7 news would descend on you, child services, maybe the cops. I don't know. Sorry you had such a serious problem.

        so at least in germany it is not possible for the parents to do something like that. however, the parents can apply to the court to have their daughter committed to a closed clinic or a reformatory or something similar. but there the state has control. so it is possible to have one's own children locked up, but only if it is done under state supervision.

                        This is something that I tried to explain when I first posted here. I'm middle aged (read: old-af) and my chastity is really, really, precious to me too. My belt represents my ongoing commitment to my marriage.

                        Though I accept I'm a total horndog, I've chosen to keep my eyes exclusively on my wife for the rest of my life. No matter what. As well as saving time and preventing excess, my belt protects and guards my commitment to my marriage.

                            A psychiatric clinic is for dealing with mentally ill patients and the criteria for a someone being admitted to a locked down ward where he / she cannot leave is based on the risk of harming oneself or another person.
                            This is completely different from guardianship. Like parents are the legal guardians of their u der age children, a court can appoint a guardian for a person over the legal age of maturity (18 in Germany) and whether or not strong measures taken by a guardian are acceptable is always a case by case decision.
                            You could for example argue that normally putting someone in a belt should be illegal, but this again would be determined based on an individual case. If a guardian can, for example, demonstrate he havs exhausted less restrictive measures and was unable to achieve the necessary control to actually protect the person under Guardiansip, a court might well rule that use of a cb was actually justified.

                                curious They were appointed to that role for her reason, so if it came to such a trial, that would also hinge on whether sexually irresponsible behavior led (or at least contributed) to her self-harm, or whether her parents were reasonable in their assumption that it did.

                                      Please note the recent case of Britney Spears. Her Father got himself appointed Guardian for her and was able to have an IUD inserted and prevent her from having it removed. She dealth with this situation for several years. And she is an adult. It took her years to get released from that Guardianship. Maybe a Chastity Belt is not so far fetched????

                                                                        Oh no need to say sorry, it's not immediately obvious that there may be any romantic aspect to male chastity or to chastity in general at a later stage in life.

                                                                        The site often points out the negatives and supports those who need it, but there's a lot that's positive to chastity belt usage that goes unsaid. I think any commitment we make to improve ourselves or be better for our significant others is amazing. Putting a lock on such a change simply means you're serious. 😄

I don't speak for all countries here, but from a legal point of view only a court can order measures involving deprivation of liberty

                                                                                                They probably do, but if we appointed conservators for every mentally disordered celebrity, we would run out of both conservators and free celebrities. The barrier to interfering in a person's autonomy should be very, very high.

That is not right but it is one of the flaws in the system. (there are lots of others.0 tThis is not something I am recommending and in fact would be seriously opposed to but it is part of the system we have (that needs improvement.
