Tasha Practically speaking, the belt just prevents me, and my dating partner to have sex.

To prevent your hymen from damage.

Tasha Concerned about wearing thigh bands?

Concerned, that it's even possible.

Tasha I suppose if my parents wanted that as an option they would have put it on earlier.

They didn't want to scare you at the beginning, for example.

Tasha Either they don't know it's an option or they don't care might about that.

Do you have side D-rings on your waistband? @Laura always use it as an excuse, because she doesn't have them. Btw, I don't have them either.

Renita To prevent your hymen from damage

I'm sure the running sports I did during my time in school have altered it.

    Renita it's even possible

I mean I know those exist and I've read experiences here in the fourm too

Renita They didn't want to scare you at the beginning, for example.

    Maybe. Don't think so though

Renita Do you have side D-rings

Rings that allow things to be attached? No (yay!)

Tasha I'm sure the running sports I did during my time in school have altered it.

      Good excuse...

Ines this is a low blow, and an underserved one in my opinion

        Tasha what you mean excuse?

        For your future husband ๐Ÿ˜‚

Tasha I'm sure the running sports I did during my time in school have altered it.

        Of course you didn't not

Tasha checking the hymen of girls to see if they are Virgin is (imo) really archaic

But when you go to a gyn, you are being asked, aren't you?

Laura Of course you didn't not

How can you be so sure? Granted I was just giving an example but still. I didn't play a lot of competitive sports but it might have had an effect.

          Laura But when you go

Yes they will ask about it. My answer would yes, I'm a Virgin.

But again people have different definitions of virginity

Laura For your future husband ๐Ÿ˜‚

But I am a Virgin. No sexual interaction with anyone. And I intend to be like that for my future partner.

The way I read @Ines message, it seems as if I said something wrong and the reply comes off a bit disrespectful.

Tasha But I am a Virgin. No sexual interaction with anyone. And I intend to be like that for my future partner.

However being careful with your hymen wouldn't hurt

Tasha The way I read @Ines message, it seems as if I said something wrong and the reply comes off a bit disrespectful.

Other excuses are horse riding, bicycling, etc. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Laura I mean if the girl has had sex before, and claims these as the cause then yes it's an excuse. But I don't see where I made a excuse?

Tasha The way I read @Ines message, it seems as if I said something wrong and the reply comes off a bit disrespectful.

Not at all, @Tasha , but to say that running affects your hymen, it is.... well, you know.
And I was semi pro player, and hymen does not suffer with it. With other practices, maybe, but running...

Ines , you know I love how consequently you adhere to your high moral standards! But the moment you call out other people for the state of their hymen, I have to ask if you have thought that through. Hymens come in different shapes and sizes naturally. A torn hymen does not prove you had penetrative sex, and an intact hymen does not prove virginity.

If Tasha feels she needs to give a reason for a torn hymen, it's probably because parts of her social circle convey this unfortunate set of expectations. I agree that running is probably not tearing anything, but that is beside the point.

One effect of this childish fixation on hymens - usually among less educated people - is the rising numbers of hymenoplasty surgery. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38470862/#:~:text=Results%3A%20In%20the%20examined%20cohort,procedure%20a%20week%20before%20marriage.

Damien I agree that running is probably not tearing anything, but that is beside the point.

It is the only point I was talking about.

Ines I hope you understood what I tried to convey.

Damien social circle convey this unfortunate set of expectations.

Some remote parts / poorer parts still do check it.

I'll not delve more into it

Tasha I'm sure the running sports I did during my time in school have altered it.

                  How? Got blood?

Tasha Rings that allow things to be attached? No (yay!)

                  You are lucky.

Tasha checking the hymen of girls to see if they are Virgin is (imo) really archaic

You parents might have different opinion.

Renita You parents might have different opinion.

                    They might. I don't know. I'm hoping they don't.

                    Renita You are lucky.

                    I guess. You are too!

                    Renita How? Got blood?

It did hurt the first few times I did it but no blood. I worded it a bit wrong, I should have written it in a different manner to reduce confusion.

It's my choice too to not have any sexual relations before committing to someone but that doesn't mean I agree to some archaic means to prove my virginity. If the person can't trust me, I don't think it would be a very good relationship
