Laura I didn't want to be redundant. I think it's on the other thread. I'll wear on days that I'm strictly in the office and on days that I'm only at court houses without metal detectors. The courthouses with metal detectors will only be added after I'm more comfortable wearing in the work setting.
Is Fancy-Steel a viable option for secure long time wear
i think you have already asked the right questions, you should just try to play through all the situations that could arise emotionally for you and him and see how you would react to certain situations.
that sounds like a good plan, also to give you the necessary self-confidence in case someone does "cought" you.
My husbands friend has patients who walk around with metal replacement arms and legs with wires and lots of different types of metal and covers that make them look real...
They cannot be asked to give these to police when going to court.
They even have patients who are brought from a prison to receive care and the only rule is they choose one that doesn't have a bunch of secret compartments but even criminals have a right to be cared for. As we always say they make mistakes but are still people and need to be forced to work hard to do better and not be punished.
Be calm and kind to the policewoman but they do not have authority to ask you to remove your devices.
BD1791 For example, I have to walk through metal detectors at work and while I set them off all of the time and I'm not searched I have an irrational fear that maybe on that day I will be searched and the belt will be found.
How about you wear a belt with a large metal buckle or a lot of metal decoration on the belt. When the detector is set off they will see your belt. After some day you can wear your CB and it would be no difference for them.

at first i thought "brilliant idea", so my compliments for this simple but very effective solution. but i see a problem. if she goes through the detector with the normal belt and it then activates, she can say that the belt has triggered it. but then she will probably be asked to take the belt off and go through it again. if it then makes a beep, this could be even more unpleasant for her than usual.
Angelina My general experience is that in the case when the intention is to detect weapons and other prohibited items being brought inside the protected area the security personnel are significantly more lax than when the intention is to detect merchandise being stolen from the protected area. (And well it is mostly simply an security theather in both cases, but that is another issue)
